Everyone misses the first pencil. He uses two pencils in that scene. First pencil to the throat second to the eye and ear and back to the first from the throat to back of the head
Isnt it the same pencil though? He throat guy 2 while grappling guy1, and then snatches it back, grapple and lip stabs guy1, spins him about and then ears the same guy1. Then in a smooth action slips our ear pencil and with his free hand he grabs guy2 and spins him onto the wall where his other fist is wating with the pencil?
John Wick is a EAR , NOSE, and THROAT specialist i never noticed that before and I've watched this scene 100 times. he takes the pencil stabs in the nose then the ear then he stabs him in the throat . brilliant.

As far as writing implements/murder weapons go, I prefer the sturdy sharpness of the Pentel RSVP .5mm fine point non-retractable ball point pen. It's marvelous for either application. But you do you.
