Everyone misses the first pencil. He uses two pencils in that scene. First pencil to the throat second to the eye and ear and back to the first from the throat to back of the head

When I watched in the cinema and this scene came up, everyone was shouting ‘John Wick got a pencil!!!’ and there was pandemonium…everyone shouted ‘fuuuuck/ohhh fuuuuuck’ when Jon shoved a pencil into the guy’s ear home.
If they weren’t doing that, they were just squealing.

John Wick is a EAR , NOSE, and THROAT specialist i never noticed that before and I've watched this scene 100 times. he takes the pencil stabs in the nose then the ear then he stabs him in the throat . brilliant.
