Excellent! I drove to the Great St.Bernard Pass in August 2017, but the weather was not nearly so nice like here in your video. It's worth mentioning that this pass sits between Italy and Switzerland, but there's also Little St.Bernard Pass which is on French/Italian border...
Beautiful drive!! Mountain passes, switchbacks to scare even the heartiest driver. I'm a wimp when it comes to high mountain passes and driving up and down them. I don't have anything that tall on my end of Canada, so I can't get any practice. lol Beautiful day and stunning pics from the top. Just like my grandson says.. "Again! Again! Again!!!" lol Thank you!!! 👍😁😊🤭📸🤗💕🐸
So sad to see the road from the opening of the Italian Job so boxed in like this. Were people really falling off it at such a rate that every square inch needs a tall barrier?
In Switzerland this road would be completely passing ban free (even in the scariest curves) and the speed limit would be 80km/h. That continuous passing ban means that you can't even overtake a cyclist, which is kind of crazy. Also, I don't know why in Italy we have such ridiculous speed limits.
The United States Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices provides guidance for when to not allow passing. The general rule is to allow passing except on approaches to blind corners or crests of hills. Guard rails would be used, but there are plenty of exceptions, such as US 40 crossing Berthoud Pass in Colorado.
@@RoadsofEuropeverreme in Italy you're allowed too, but you can't cross the solid line while doing it. This means that you can overtake cyclists only on very wide roads... Of course no one, cops included, cares about this rule (and many, many others).
lol, Mont Blanc tunnel is 32€... i did the pass and the Mont Blanc tunnel on the same day, Swiss Italy France and Swiss again in 6hrs, with a motorbike...
SAINT BERNARD toujours et juste après le déneigement du col quand un beau manteau BLANC recouvre le SAINT-BERNARD Quel temps de chien heureusement qu'il n'a pas oublié son tonneau?
I live in reseda california in, so they tell us, the richest country in the world? Our roads are absolutely falling apart here, all the cross streets are like a motocross course. Car crippling pot holes, we'd be better off if they switched back to dirt! Then you see a video like this, instant reality check. Sad, the United States has become one big fat ghetto. So wish I could live and work in Switzerland 😭😭😭
in my view, Switzerland is the most beautyfull country in the world, and being from Germany and have been to a few countries on this planet, inc. north and south America and Nz... Switzerland is breath taking... Apenzell, Glarus etc...Zermatt is missing on my list, but the Tessin with Lago Lugano and palm trees worths a travel...
5:14 that towering rock mountain is really magnificent, almost like a pillar
i did it from the Swiss side, 2,5 weeks ago..lol

Background music is very nice and beautiful place landscape 🙏😁
Love the tunes on these
Wow, what a neat drive. Amazing landscape. =D
Hey they put guardrails on it and widened it. Drove this back in 1993 and it was quite a bit different.
Breathtaking ride with great views. That camera didn't give those views enough justice. Nice song choice as well.
gorgeous road. i never would have thought Italians would have been more safety conscious than the French of the Swiss
Amazing Tour.
Italy has passing bans in almost every two-lane road, but they are systematically ignored. Something that doesn't happen in France or Switzerland.
the usual racist comment against the Italians
Roads of Europe (verreme)
Hehe you haven’t lived in here in france my friend
Thanks for the pleasure.

You don’t think Italians and french with their crazy ass driving skills would obey a no passing line.
Hi European Roads! I have a question.... hoe do you edit your video's? (You have a great channel!)😀

La SS27 non è tortuosa?
Looks exactly the same in the french alps
Not so steep road like Indian Mountain Passes
The Italian side road is much better than the Swiss side
Kairumon Darkkley
