May be. I agree that it was good, however, if it was the best you ever heard you've barely scratched the surface. There is SO MUCH out there! Look for stuff you've never heard or been aware of. There you'll discover Platinum. The very best music will never be on the top 40 charts because it is written by and performed by musicians and artists who are driven solely by the music and not trying to make a top 40 hit. I guess The Grateful Dead would be one of them. They DID , however, come up with a hit record in the 80's Touch Of Grey. Mind BLOWER: After ALL that rocking, partying, living through and surviving the 60's and 70's and growing old and grey Jerry Garcia couldn't cut haroin loose (or it wouldn't cut him loose) and like a Lion hunting it's prey and lying patiently in the tall grass it finally pounced and got him.
First of all, though I'm late to the party I want to state that I love this slow burning version of this great Buffalo Springfield song. I couldn't help but conjour up a fantasy medley that might include Humble Pie's "Strange Days" and conclude with a longish version of "Season Of The Witch". Hmmm, sounds like an idea for a play list that might also include War's "Slippin' Into Darkness" and Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On" and.....and.....and......zzzzzzz..... goodnight.
