I grew up with the Beatles music & had most of their records. This is one of their early songs from 1965 from their musical comedy movie called "Help!" That movie is full of great songs such as "Ticket To Ride", "You're Going To Lose That Girl", "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" etc. Love seeing these old live versions of them performing. You can't go wrong with any of their music.
Born in 1957, abd grew up with the greatest artist of all times from the 1960's and the 1970's. Beach Boys, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, America, CCR, Herman Hermits, and to many more to name.
John Lennon was feeling the crush that Beatlemania had become on all of their lives and he put it down on paper. The song was actually at a slower tempo and the record execs didn't like that. They wanted something more peppier so that's when they speed it up. It was definitely a cry for "Help!"
They were a huge influence on music...one of the greatest of the 20th century. But they also at the time had a major influence on fashion, pop culture, politics and more. Crazy to think that as a group they accomplished all that before any of them reached their 30th birthday!
Saw this at a movie theater in downtown Chicago with a girlfriend at 13 yrs old. There was a huge crowd waiting to get in. As soon as someone came out to unlock the doors the crowd surged forward. A few of the glass doors were broken. My friend grabbed hold of my top to prevent me from flying over a wooden police barricade. I didn't go over the barricade but some buttons were pulled off my top. I don't recall where I got a few safety pins to secure the top. Despite it all we had a great time , and loved the movie.💕 To be that young again!!
this was one of john's favorite songs. he was going through a lot of stuff when he wrote this. ringo was the drummer and just using an umbrella as a prop for his part in the video. nobody else used instruments either in the video.
John was my favorite! I was 14 when they came to America and I saw them on Ed Sullivan! It was instant love and I had a huge crush on John. My sister who was 12 loved Paul! We saw both their movies A Hard days Night and Help at the movie theater. You should check them out. We saved up our allowance to buy their LP's and singles which were all on A.M radio at the time.❤
The Beatles’ songs have been taken off UA-cam many times over the years and then put back again. There are also numerous videos of most of their songs. The actual number of views of their songs over time is much higher than can be determined by looking at a single video.
You make some very astute observations. The Beatles were indeed wise beyond their years. Paul has always been my favorite because I believe he was not only the most musically gifted, but because he has such a strong work ethic. He is a frickin' musical genius!
The Beatles played together for years before they became famous. They honed their skills played many, many shows at The Star Club in Hamburg and The Cavern Club in Liverpool. Apart from a small handful of "throwaway" things, their whole catalogue of songs is full of classics. GOAT!
There were the Beatles and then there was everyone else. They were a force unto themselves. 15 albums at 176 weeks at Number 1, the most of any band, past or present period.
You mentioned in an earlier reaction that you are now trying to go through their catalog chronologically (as best you can). “She Loves You” was one of the first songs heard in America. And “If I Fell” has some of the best harmonies.
I saw the movie HELP! when it first came out at the theaters. My oldest sister bought tickets for all of us kids (family). I have been in love with them ever since 🥰. I was 5. I am now 61😊🎉
There were so many unique features about the beatles, I don't know of any other band that had such a natural linear progression, from carefree in love songs - to uncertainty - to introspection - to philosophical, they literally mirrored growing up in their material as they went along and their fans grew up alongside that music, just fascinating
It’s the title track to their second movie, “Help.” (It was John crying out for help.) The video (kinda) makes sense if you watch the movie lol. These were among the first ever music videos (which they called promos back then.) So without The Beatles, MTV might not have existed.
Paul was my favorite. They had a movie with the same title "Help" with some other songs in it. We used to go into the theater in the early afternoon and stay through every show until night-time, that was what Beatle fans did, or at least we did!
One of my faves along with, A Hard Day Night, I Feel Fine, Paperback Writer, Tax Man, Back In the USSR, Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except for Me and My Monkey etc.
Yeah the Beatles started to write very unusual kind of song, they wrote many kind of new pop music from the scratch, few examples are A Hard Day's Night, Can't By Me Love, I Want to Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, Yesterday and many more... They were so talented and smart and fantastic!!
You nailed it. John was crying for help from the suffocation of Beatle fame. And yes, in those days they were the best of friends having the time of their lives and doing what they loved to do. Funny you would ask, “who’s your favorite?” When Beatlemania swept the US that was everyone’s first question. And pretty much everyone knew right away. My older brother chose John and I chose Paul. But the funny thing is that over the years as we literally grew up with them, we came to appreciated the others for what they contributed and for who they were. After A Hard Days Night, we loved them all!
John wrote this during his "Fat Elvis" Phase... The Beatles had just come back from a Grueling Tour. The Beatles had been spending every waking hour for months going from the Hotel, to the Stage, then flying to their next Gig as a Band, so when he finally had some "Alone Time" he felt isolated and with no real Direction (People telling him where to go, what to do and where they were heading to next . This Song was him Dealing with it.
Lennon was in an inconscient way writing exactly "help". Years after Paul, realized that the message was real knowing the existential experiences that his friend was living and he talked about it.
Michael, I just discovered you and subscribed. Don’t know if you will ever see this but I have a couple recommendations: 1) when you pause, hit the back click 5 seconds button instead of just hitting start. Sometimes when you freeze a song mid lyric, you lose the lyrics when split into two parts 2) in my opinion, never do the first time reaction to a song to the live version. First should always be the original/video reaction. Often the live version is like a completely different version. If a lot want the live version, do that version 2nd. 3) I’m glad someone in the comments pointed out what a dark (but beautiful) song James Blunt’s ‘You’re Beautiful’ is, but I think you missed the darkness in Rod Stewart’s ‘Maggie Mae’. It’s not a song about a girl who broke his heart. It’s a song about a much older woman (40s or 50s, there’s a line about the morning sun really shows her age, you don’t sing that about a girl of 20 or even 30) who has seduced a young teen boy (probably 14-ish, as if he were much older, he already would have had a girlfriend; he thinks his only options are to go back to school/home, steal his dad’s pool cue to make a living, or join a band). It wasn’t as shocking back in the early 70s, but is definitely dark now. If you are interested in other lyrically dark songs hiding behind beautiful or peppy Melodie’s, try ‘Every Breath You Take’ or ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ unless you’ve already reacted to them.
The forever question: who's your favorite? Fans are still going into different camps over this half a century later. And some not so kindly toward their least favorite. I was 7 when they hit the US on the Ed Sullivan show in February 1964. It was my sister aged 9, myself, and my 2 nieces. One was 6, and one was 2. I immediately called dibs on Paul, my oldest niece picked John, and my sister took George. We assigned Ringo to the 2 year old. My parents were in their early 40s. Completely confused about them and everyone's reaction. But they were great. Didn't even mind when 4 little girls sat close to the TV so we could kiss the screen when our favorite popped up. 🥰
Favorite is John Lennon because of the way he plays rhythm guitar. He's one of the main important forces that is making the amazing sound(s) in the recordings, but it takes all four them realistically. They are only great with all four of them together. Go solo and all the magic goes right down the tubes.
Seriously. I was born in 1960 and have older sisters who were born in the mid to late 1940s. They were in their late teens and early twenties married with their first kid and their husbands (also young like that) were out working full time to support them. Some guys their age were off to Vietnam. It's crazy to think how fast their grew up back then.
This is a video of Help with comical overtones. The Monkeys did this as well. Even in the late Fifties with Little Darlin' by The diamonds and the Coasters songs like Yakity Yak. Besides serious concerts and TV appearances there was a popularity for adding unabashed humor. It was the fashion! Don't worry parents back then didn't get it either! But we just yelled and danced ourselves crazy till we dropped LOL!
If you want to hear a song of theirs that was written by a much younger guy (Paul) than you would believe, check out She’s Leaving Home from Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
We can work it out, penny lane , here comes the sun , in my life , just some of the Beatles greatest hits, the fool on the hill , fixing a hole , something, nowhere man
hi michael, hope you're well. see, we told you help..now you've got to try we can work it out. i thought of another, the moody blues..nights in white satin. such a beautiful song with amazing vocals, i think you would love it. i'm really pleased you had such a positive reaction to help. thing with the beatles you either love them or really hate them. back in the day there was a big to do about the beatles and the rolling stones. all the opinionated fans were screaming about who was the better band and the boys from both groups used to get together and wonder what the fuss was all about. another little nugget for you there......lol
It is the title song from their film called HELP, what did you think. And that in harmony singing is typical for British groups, take Queen as another example.
Another winnah Michael! John Lennon sang "Skiffle" type music before the Beatles, don't know what type that is. These guys set the tone from what music was in the '50s to the kind of Rock n' Roll I like! Good job Michael! 👍💯😎
That's the thing with the Beatles and you nailed it seconds in. No matter who was singing lead, he had 2 of the greatest voices in music history singing harmony/backup for him. In this case McCartney (over 40 #1 hits) and Harrison (over 35 #1 hits) singing backup for Lennon (30 #1 hits). For my money Harrison was the best singer of the lot and he rarely sang lead with the group, but was lead in the Wilburys with Orbison, Petty, Dylan and Lynn....
The video kinda goes with the movie, "Help!". The movie has a snow scene in it where they're riding these things that look like tricycles with skis instead of wheels, lol. If you ever get a chance, you should watch the movie. It's silly and fun and has lots of their songs throughout it.
Good words, man. We all need some help down then and we all need somebody to lean on for sure. I do believe this was kind of an early cry from John Lennon for help. Even though it was just another huge massive hit as they were starting to dominate the whole gobal pop music scene. You have to think about the fact that they came from poor to middle class upbringing in Liverpool, at the time and extremely blue-collar environment. And kind of the community that a lot of people from London and whatnot kind of looked down on. But they paid their dues, they work their asses off, they got in fights when necessary and so forth.
Hey, bro. Excellent response as always! Have you seen their live performance at Shea Stadium (America)? Awesome! The biggest crowd at a live rock performance at the time, about 60,000 fans.
My sister went to see them at Shea Stadium and said she couldn't hear them over the fans screaming. 😄 She said one guy started running towards the stage and everyone was cheering him on, but security caught up with him. Cool memories.
@michaelwduffy it is still on UA-cam. The video is actually very good. Whoever did it was able to bring out the Beatles in the foreground and all the screaming in the background. In the actual performance, they couldn't hear each other. In a later interview, Ringo didn't even know where they were in a song. He'd watch Paul's foot or John's ass because John would do the bounce. And when they went "whoo", he'd think, " Oh, that's where they are. As far as John, they were having to put out a new album a year, and he and Paul were writing their own songs, and this was their second movie. John said that he was fat, but, honestly, he never looked better. So, yes, it was a cry for help. They actually said the only way they got privacy when touring was to meet in the bathroom.
I’d recommend a live version of Help. Think live at Blackpool is only one not blocked. Video with snow doesn’t do justice to gravity of the song.I’ve always heard this song is Lennon’s cry for help from Beatlemania
Favorite Beatle - I'd have to say Paul. I'm more a fan of the later period and Paul kind of took the lead during that time. Solo Beatle - I'd go with Paul on that too. Probably because his career is lasting a lot longer. Favorite song - a Paul song Hey Jude. But second favorite - Strawberry Fields - a John song.
I grew up on the Beatles, anyway one day when I was in my 30's a bad day. My daughters boyfriend threatened to kill me, I took this very seriously as he lived and took care of my daughter by jacking cars and breaking into houses in Houston. He was bypolar and scizophyric had prior jail time. It was so out of the normal like a movie weird situation I found myself singing the words to this song and it felt like I was hysterical going crazy. (catches my breath) oh I lived I am now 66..
The Beatles stopped touring because the couldn’t hear above all the s teaming. They were performing in baseball stadiums and they worried about security with the crazy fans. The Beatles came up with the concept of music videos…so fans could see them as well as hear the songs.
Most of the so called artist of today could not carry a tune today at a live show in a dumptruck without autotune because they are no talent hacks. And yet in the 60's and 70's the artist actually had to have talent to get on stage.
It’s funny you mentioned grunge and Nirvana because Kurt Cobain was a big fan of John Lennon and claimed he influenced him musically. I won’t tell you which Beatle is my favorite but I’ll give you a little hint; my son’s name is Paul.
The Beatles were good with this song. For a completely different version check out John Farnham singing his arrangement with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra; it is brilliant!
No the reason John Lennon wrote this song ok was simply because later on he called it he's fat old period and he just felt a bit insecure because the Beatle the pressure of being a Beatle was getting to him you think about by 1965 th were the biggest band in the world
Why an umbrella? Because Ringo can't put the drums in the studio to record a promo movie so they give him an umbrella to occupy his hands :-) On another promo movie he rides a bike.
Although they were young, they had experienced things in their lives. John and Paul had lost their mothers before they were 18, they had started out playing the bars in Hamburg Germany which were in the red-light districts, so they had seen the underbelly of society at this point.
It's so nice to see George joining in on the singing. Ringo sure didn't have to do much besides hold the umbrella! LOL! This is one of my absolute favorite songs of theirs. I agree with others, watch their movie Help! SO many wonderful songs in it! Paul was my favorite Beatle. Let's face it, he was and still is so darn cute! Michael, did you know that Ringo wasn't the original drummer for the group? It was Pete Best! Interesting story there!
Loves Paul and Ioun for different reasons - a draw! The Beatles are credited with the first music videos - this is a great example If you want to hear John Lennon’s primal scream, listen to Mother - great song and so revealing
Another great song. Some hidden beatle gems some this movie. You're going to lose that girl. Yesterday. You've got to hide your love away. Nowhere Man. Oh and you have to see John Farnhams version of Help with Melbourne Orchestra. Made it his song and better than the original. (Lennon agreed with that when he heard it.)
A true cry for Help from John but in no way sucidal. This was written at the peak of full blown Beatlemania and only four guys on the planet lived it. Only they experienceed the insanity of it. Paul and Ringo still can't fully process what the hell was going on. As George stated "The whole world went insane and used The Beatles as as an excuse to do it. When in reality, we were the four most sane people in the middle of the insanity." John described Beatlemania as being "In the eye of a hurrucaine, Everywhere we went we were surrounded by cops and security and it was calm in the middle but just a few feet away it was total chaos". John wrote this one because he was feeling so constricted and confined by the whole Beatlemania thing, he couldn't walk anywhere freely without being mobbed. John called this his " Fat Elvis period" and you can see that he had put on a few pounds during this period. "I was eating and drinking like a pig and becoming depressed". Beatlemania defenitly took a toll on all four of them. What's crazy is that the crazier Beatlemania got the music kept advancing and getting better. Most others would have crumbled under the scrutiny and pressure these four kids were put under. You stated perfectly with "Kids that were wise way beyond their years, like forty something wisdom and John and Paul were two kids in their early twenties." John more so being two years older than Paul who a year later in 66 really got his songwriting legs under him on their "Revolver" Lp and never looked back after that. Peace ❤
As for them being together for years, you're right. 15 year old Paul met 16 year old John in 1957. The true big bang. Paul introduced 14 year old George to John, and he was asked to join the band. Then they were the Quarry Men. They had to have a drummer to go to Hamburg, so John got Pete Best. That's where they met Ringo, who was the drummer for Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. They played at some of the same clubs. He'd sit in when Pete Best wouldn't show up. They played 8 hours a day. Then, back to Liverpool and the Cavern Club. So, yes, they'd been together for years. Unfortunately, Pete wasn't a good drummer, so they asked Ringo to take his place. George Martin, who had actually signed their first recording contract, said he would replace Pete with a session drummer if they didn't replace him. Not knowing they had Ringo now, he used Andy White to play the drums on their first single, "Love Me Do." Ringo said in the Anthology series that George apologized to him for years.
@@pestbsn 100% correct on everything and Martin also said in that "Anthology" that in the studio Ringo was the most disciplined while recording. He very, very rarely made a mistake. Ringo by far is the most underrated drummer in history. When he was asked to join the band in 62 John stated that he had one important question for Ringo which was "Do you enjoy playing drum solo's?" Ringo said "No I hate solo's" John responded with "You're in the band'. Was Ringo Keith Moon or John Bonham? No, but he was the perfect drummer for The Band, who went by the name The Beatles. My favorite Ringo performance ever on a Beatles record is his playing on the B-side of the "Paperback Writer" single John's "Rain", he kills it. If you haven't purchased the 2022 remix of their "Revolver" then go buy the two CD set. On the bonus disc they included a remix of that single and both songs sound unbelievably incredible. Ringo's drums sound incredible on both tracks. Peace
This song was out in '65....Nobody in that time was singing introspective music except maybe Dylan.
@@RobertJones-ux6nc Ah....those were the days my friend....we thought they'd never end. ( hmmm - sounds like a song there ! )
Loved Mary Hopkin.
All the Beatles songs are iconic… not so much suicidal but john was calling for Help because of all the pressures from being famous
John was horribly traumatized by the death of his mother, Julia. I don't think he ever completely got past it.
The Beatles were always ahead of the times! ❤😊👍 Thanks again!
Their personal maturity and self-awareness place them as perpetually "ahead of the times."
John Lennon was feeling the crush that Beatlemania had become on all of their lives and he put it down on paper. The song was actually at a slower tempo and the record execs didn't like that. They wanted something more peppier so that's when they speed it up. It was definitely a cry for "Help!"
I loved their early stuff and the harmonies!
Great insight - Preeesh never knew that
They were a huge influence on music...one of the greatest of the 20th century. But they also at the time had a major influence on fashion, pop culture, politics and more. Crazy to think that as a group they accomplished all that before any of them reached their 30th birthday!
Watch the movie they did called'HELP". The song is great with this movie. Learning to live with fame.
Ringo! the drummer with the umbrella.
My 2 favorites were John and Paul. I had a crush on both of them as a kid and as an adult, I thought they both had beautiful voices! 💞
Saw this at a movie theater in downtown Chicago with a girlfriend at 13 yrs old. There was a huge crowd waiting to get in. As soon as someone came out to unlock the doors the crowd surged forward. From the 60's till now the population has more than doubled. And better technology by far.
Paul is the ultimate favourite but I love all of them. The sound of John amd Paul singing together is joy. Add in George's voice - can't be topped.
You make some very astute observations. The Beatles were indeed wise beyond their years. Paul has always been my favorite because I believe he was not only the most musically gifted, but because he has such a strong work ethic. He is a frickin' musical genius!

The B side to this is fantastic too - and almost never played . It's called I'm Down ! and it rocks.
Ringo is doing an excellent job of holding that umbrella in this song.
There were the Beatles and then there was everyone else. They were a force unto themselves. 15 albums at 176 weeks at Number 1, the most of any band, past or present period.
Good Reaction Michael.
7 HOURS A NIGHT for 5 months ,continuously at THe Star Club in Hamburg,Germany is how they perfected their art and tightness:)
You mentioned in an earlier reaction that you are now trying to go through their catalog chronologically (as best you can). “She Loves You” was one of the first songs heard in America. And “If I Fell” has some of the best harmonies.
230 more songs to go,my friend:)

I love your Beatles reactions, my man.
I'm 71, and Paul far-and-away has always been my favorite Beatle.
The Beatles are the pioneers of modern music videos.
There were so many unique features about the beatles, I don't know of any other band that had such a natural linear progression, from carefree in love songs - to uncertainty - to introspection - to philosophical, they literally mirrored growing up in their material as they went along and their fans grew up alongside that music, just fascinating
It's incredible to think that those amazing eight years *ended* more than 50 years ago now!
It’s the title track to their second movie, “Help.” (It was John crying out for help.) The video (kinda) makes sense if you watch the movie lol. These were among the first ever music videos (which they called promos back then.) So without The Beatles, MTV might not have existed.
As I recall, when John was asked about what the song meant, he said that it was about what the lyrics said. He wrote what he was feeling.
Paul was my favorite. They had a movie with the same title "Help" with some other songs in it. We used to go into the theater in the early afternoon and stay through every show until night-time, that was what Beatle fans did, or at least we did!

My favorite Beatle? George, the youngest.
This is why we all need to be kind to others. We don't know what they might be going through.
Now you're talking music! Yes, I am music biased. If you don't see a reaction from me, get back to the classics. Classics never die. 🙃
You nailed it. John was crying for help from the suffocation of Beatle fame. And yes, in those days they were the best of friends having the time of their lives and doing what they loved to do. The first Beatles song that broke with the girl boy love theme. Help, could refer to anyone.
John wrote this during his "Fat Elvis" Phase... The Beatles had just come back from a Grueling Tour. Thanks, Michael! that melody/counter-melody - so brilliant... and also done with sensitivity and humor! appreciate your reactions!
Lennon was in an inconscient way writing exactly "help". Years after Paul, realized that the message was real knowing the existential experiences that his friend was living and he talked about it.
We need more Beatles.
John was crying out for help when he wrote this.

Very well said. THe 5 second button is crucial for continuity.
John wrote this about a low point in his life. He said, he put on weight and wasn't feeling good about himself. Wow, they were normal after all.
The forever question: who's your favorite? Fans are still going into different camps over this half a century later. And some not so kindly toward their least favorite.

the movie Help is a fun one to watch, not as good as Hard Day's Night, but I enjoy the songs in the movie and I love watching them play them.

This was written during what Lennon referred to as his "Fat Elvis Period". He himself said it was a cry for help, "And Nobody Came"!
If you want to hear a song of theirs that was written by a much younger guy (Paul) than you would believe, check out She’s Leaving Home from Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
We can work it out, penny lane , here comes the sun , in my life , just some of the Beatles greatest hits, the fool on the hill , fixing a hole , something, nowhere man
Untouchable
hi michael, hope you're well. see, we told you help..now you've got to try we can work it out. i thought of another, the moody blues..nights in white satin. such a beautiful song with amazing vocals, i think you would love it. i'm really pleased you had such a positive reaction to help. thing with the beatles you either love them or really hate them. back in the day there was a big to do about the beatles and the rolling stones. all the opinionated fans were screaming about who was the better band and the boys from both groups used to get together and wonder what the fuss was all about. another little nugget for you there......lol
We’re The Beatles ahead of their times? Yes. Yes, they were. Weren’t they?
It is the title song from their film called HELP, what did you think. And that in harmony singing is typical for British groups, take Queen as another example.
Well it is one of the very first music videos ever. Probably explains the number of views.
George Harrison was my fav Beatle , then John Lennon then Ringo then Paul .
The video kinda goes with the movie, "Help!". The movie has a snow scene in it where they're riding these things that look like tricycles with skis instead of wheels, lol. If you ever get a chance, you should watch the movie. It's silly and fun and has lots of their songs throughout it.
Ringo saw the weather forecast always prepared.
No I’ve never seen it is it on UA-cam?
@@michaelwduffy ua-cam.com/video/p4aq5Ea-DrQ/v-deo.html
My sister went to see them at Shea Stadium and said she couldn't hear them over the fans screaming. 😄
She said one guy started running towards the stage and everyone was cheering him on, but security caught up with him. Cool memories.
Fricken.
Love The Fab 4 Ya Ya Ya !
Paul is my favourite, he’s also only one I have met.
I can't think of another song where the chorus leads the singer . ..
Love Ringo in the background 😂
I grew up on the Beatles, anyway one day when I was in my 30's a bad day. My daughters boyfriend threatened to kill me, I took this very seriously as he lived and took care of my daughter by jacking cars and breaking into houses in Houston. He was bypolar and scizophyric had prior jail time. It was so out of the normal like a movie weird situation I found myself singing the words to this song and it felt like I was hysterical going crazy. (catches my breath) oh I lived I am now 66..
Hard to believe he’s never heard this.
What were they playing like 14 hour gigs every day seven days a week in Germany for years or before they became "famous"
The Beatles stopped touring because the couldn’t hear above all the s teaming. They were performing in baseball stadiums and they worried about security with the crazy fans. The Beatles came up with the concept of music videos…so fans could see them as well as hear the songs.
Back when Beatles were their best. Can’t compare Nirvana to the greatest band of all time.
John Lennon was the genius behind the Beatles. Paul gets a lot of credit but he is not a patch on John.
I strongly encourage you to listen to Tina Turner's interpretation of the song - she got the pain, desperation, blues of it out to the open
Most of the so called artist of today could not carry a tune today at a live show in a dumptruck without autotune because they are no talent hacks. And yet in the 60's and 70's the artist actually had to have talent to get on stage.
John Farnham sings this song and killed it
It’s funny you mentioned grunge and Nirvana because Kurt Cobain was a big fan of John Lennon and claimed he influenced him musically. I won’t tell you which Beatle is my favorite but I’ll give you a little hint; my son’s name is Paul.
The Beatles were good with this song. For a completely different version check out John Farnham singing his arrangement with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra; it is brilliant!
You have never heard Help? Really?
Yeah Michael and his mayonnaise jar companion have just recently been dropped off on earth to gather information for the Galaxy he's from.
Hey Michael. Handsome man .. xx😊
Although they were young, they had experienced things in their lives. John and Paul had lost their mothers before they were 18, they had started out playing the bars in Hamburg Germany which were in the red-light districts, so they had seen the underbelly of society at this point.
PLEASE Follow up with John Farnham's live cover version with the Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra.🙏🥰
John was my fav.
They played two or 3 sets a day for months in Hamburg long before they were “discovered “ and marketed by Brian Epstein
lilacfiddler1 -
And?
Phu Bai is all right.
I tried showing this to my granddaughter, and it was instantly blocked.
Loves Paul and Ioun for different reasons - a draw!
The Beatles are credited with the first music videos - this is a great example
If you want to hear John Lennon’s primal scream, listen to Mother - great song and so revealing
Not the first music videos, but they were early adopters
P a ul. Love all of them
Paul!
Next Norwegian Woods
You stated perfectly with "Kids that were wise way beyond their years, like forty something wisdom and John and Paul were two kids in their early twenties."
John more so being two years older than Paul who a year later in 66 really got his songwriting legs under him on their "Revolver" Lp and never looked back after that.
Peace
