It's appropriate that Manson covered this- this song ties up everything Manson was all about from his start. His vocals are excellent- very emotional- sad, angry, and tired all in one- just like the lyrics. 5/5
Few more Lennon's quotes :D "I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?" “I'm not afraid of death because I don't believe in it. It's just getting out of one car, and into another” And there are also few quotes that could imply that he don't believe, at least he doubt his faith :D
yeah! nice version, has the feeling that the green day cover lacked...no instrument can replace the voice, the pain, and the acoustic guitar, when lyrics have a true meaning. so close to lennon's
@LobeliaM72 You make a good point besides the last. Despite how you feel, or anyone really feels about their music or whatever stubbornness they have against them, their music, or their fan range, you have to at least admit that their cover was the most original of them all. Especially by letting Lennon get the last words in at the end of the song. Idk, I think theirs was very well put together.
@lumbiaknight87 im not a huge manson fan either but he dos have some really great covers. five to one, tainted love, and sweet dreams are all done really well imo also
I'm very impressed that he doesn't destroy the song. I like Manson but was really afraid this song would be butchered. I think the rasp in his voice adds to the sound. I really do like this cover.
John Lennon was an atheist, he did not believe in imaginary beings. the word "God" has different meanings for different people, scinetists often say they want to "know the mind of god" even though they don't believe in any religious concept of god.
His voice sounds like he had a cold or something. Also he only did an acoustic cover. Clearly they did not know wether or not if they would release it. Kind of sad. It would've been nice if he put in effort and put it on lest we forget. Kind of a waste of a cover if you ask me.
No. It’s meant to be simple. John wrote the song as this very straight forward message. Manson understood this. Jumbling it up with electric guitars, and effects would literally destroy the song.
This just simply EATS ASS!!! No One... I mean NO ONE should ever even attempt to try & redo this classic song. humorous.................. to say the least.

You can actually feel the spirit of a marginated Brian Warner through his voice, and the living soul within Lennon's lyrics. Everyone can learn the chords of a song. But there are only a few people in this world that can transmit a song's true will. This is a great cover indeed.
Imagine: "Who'll be the lady, who the Lord, When we are ruled by the love of one another?" [John Ball] "Peasants you are, and peasants you'll remain." [Richard II] "You're still fucking peasants as far as I can see." [John Lennon] A Working Class Hero is something to be.

Man5on didn't take a piss on this song, related to the message and the raw emotions of the original and made them his own. Any good cover has these qualities. Dunno if he would dig it in his time, but i guess if he's trancended and watching us, then yeah
This kinda goes to show that John was able to reach so many different people, even if they have different tastes and styles. He's like the universal artist, his message and music touching the lives of generations of people and musicians. No one is ever too "hard-core" to listen to Lennon.
I love this! I grew up with Lennon, even my nursery was Imagine themed. To see my favorite artist today cover it in such a beautiful way made me so happy. I'd be lying if I told you I'm not tearing up a bit.
Очень уважаю его работы, то насколько он обстоятельно подходит к процессу звукозаписи, то микрофон сожжет то еще что-нибудь, но вот никак не ожидал просто под гитарку... amazing cover, let's listen it 70 times in a row.
Why does everyone sit around trying to rank art? Lennon, Manson and Greenday all have great versions of this song.
Don’t forget ozzy
Hey TJ, funny seeing a 10 year old comment from you.
Big fan :) Have been watching since 2010 or something.
This is the best though.
...lemmy,marianne faithful,....
@@oliverdecker249 Damn right Darlin!
He has suffered as most of us from "they"...nice tribute to John Lennon:)
As have many of us. Fuck them.

This is by far the best version of this song... His voice is just perfectly matched with the lyrics/song!!
I'm here because of Manson's post on instagram
this is one of my favorite covers!
yeah! nice version, has the feeling that the green day cover lacked...no instrument can replace the voice, the pain, and the acoustic guitar, when lyrics have a true meaning. so close to lennon's
Great Version!
this is a john Lennon. song. but mm version is good
thank you captain obvious for saving me!!!!!
no shit ! sherlock
This is very well done.
THE BEST cover of this song no doubt!
I love this❤
muy buen cover
i see lots of similarity in Lennons and Mansons voice
Awesome cover

@mohawk36 This was included on the Disposable Teens single.
its equal than the original, but still great
ficou muito bom! voz roca, linda de Marilyn Manson sz'
Up to par with the ozzy version
@giegi original was the best, jonh lennon had one of the most haunting, addicting voice in history, john lennon created rock.
die Stimme passt richtig gut O.o
Klaro ist ja Manson ;)

sounds pretty good to me
John Lennon was an atheist, he did not believe in imaginary beings.
the word "God" has different meanings for different people, scinetists often say they want to "know the mind of god" even though they don't believe in any religious concept of god.
there´s nothing like the original but still a pretty nice cover
@billwhite93 This wasn't Green Day's song. It was John Lennon's. But Green Day, yes, does it best, in my opinion, but John Lennon wrote it.
His voice sounds like he had a cold or something. Also he only did an acoustic cover. Clearly they did not know wether or not if they would release it. Kind of sad. It would've been nice if he put in effort and put it on lest we forget. Kind of a waste of a cover if you ask me.

Marilyn Lennon.
@ThunderHunter100 Well, it's better than than a burnt out popvoice ;) And yes, it's Billie ^^
@CurtinBones but GD's one is still amazing!
Because I had to see this to make sure that GD is the best :)
i prefer Green Day version
but also I have respect for all other versions
@MrsDArmstrong you heve to listen to screaming trees' version
He croaked his way through this, but it lends credibility to the emotion of the song
Lennon version is the one and only
Ozzy Osbourne
Marilyn Manson
John Lennon
All of them are good though.
John Lennon was an atheist and I think he would love manson, from what i know about Mr. Lennon.
@Agii06 i agree at all
Not my cup of tea, but he respects Lennon, if he covers his song!
this picture is actually the video... of course manson can play the cat.
I kinda like I'd but the green day versions the best
@SammyFujitsu try benderconverter
This is my second favorite version of "Working Class Hero" the first being Green Day's
I don't thing LENNON cares about the devil either ;)
What album is this on??
This is unreleased, this is the best rip of it I can find
Do you really think John Lennon would approve of you...? Really look at your life and just imagine how hard Lennon would LAUGH...!!!!
Billy joel version was bettr ~ the rod stewart version bettr ~ the peter cetera version even better yet :-)
fuck it all,love the lyrics.cheers
@Xx3m0xkidxX plz dont tell me ur one of those ppl who hate them bcus theyre popular

humorous.................. to say the least.
John Lennon r.i.p.
I love this version of the song. Manson really puts emotion into it
As if John didn’t?
Generally mason's cover of other artists are quite good as their original
It doesn't matter who sings it, its still a truth telling song
society orders? BGE Holy mother mary
Funny: Lord give me a sign, € and Eminem. Here comes what who is the Boss here?....🤠George, relgion dope and tv?
Let's keep hope alive that the Working Class Hero isn't dying.
Sadly a song that resonates with so many.

Manson needs to do an acoustic album!! Love this!!
Hell yeah he does
And a album of just covers...he's nailed them all!
I wish
I agreed. I love his acoustic versions...his special vocal timbre comes out.
He's old enough. His last local concert was all sitting and tapping your foot. Far cry from the rapey moshing
remake or something like this for sure, mon american dream
I love the original version by John Lennon, I love this version, and I love Green Day's version too. Such a powerful and amazing and honest song.
+CelestialSerendipity I'd like to add Marianne Faithfull to your list :)
Johnny Cash made this song then John Lennon remade it
+armando garcia no he didnt. john lennon wrote it johnny cash, at least as far as i can tell, never did the song.
+armando garcia This song is written by John Lennon. Not sure where you got your information. Sorry!
CelestialSerendipity noooi green day nooooo
but he makes f***ing good cover songs
It's very Johnny Cash
LOL Cash already lived what Lennon wrote
And vice-versa.
It’s very John Lennon?
Great cover... Manson has always had a great ear for cover tunes.

Ever just need to take a break from life put the headphones on and have a Manson night ? ... Yeah me too ❤️
he is not out of tune...he takes the song and makes it his own.that is his style and most of the people watching it here like it

manson is kindof like the heavymetal version of john lennon
Not bad... I definitely love Green Day and John Lennon's version but this is absolutely beautiful!!!
True, but listen to Marianne Faithfull's versión from 1979... It rules too!
Its John Lennons song... You know that Right?
For a long time I thought it was Marianne Faithful's song. lol
They all pale in comparison to Corey Feldman's stellar singing.
John Lennon's is not version.
I expected this to be far more of a departure from the original. It's nice that he kept it so similar.
Woah i'm glad Marilyn Manson posted link to this on his instagram this is great
Everything he does is wonderful. Amazing cover.
Honestly one of the better John Lennon covers out there.

His voice is so beautiful, so pure. It gives me chills.

Great song, I love the lyriks, it´s so true.
A great song and a very interesting cover.
