The RAT RIG Lives

I thought building a Rat Rig was a challenge, but little did I know how much of a challenge it would be to get it programmed and the control electronics working. I'm not an expert on single board computers or control boards, both of which this uses. The computer is a Raspberry Pi and the control board is a BTT Octopus. I spend days on getting them to work and talk to each other.
I used the firmware for the incorrect version of the Octopus, had a bad cable and a bad stepper driver. What I lack in talent I make up in perseverance!
The internet was helpful in giving me hints and I just kept trying things. When it first moved from my commands, it was like a baby being born.
I hope to melt some plastic within a few days or a week. If anyone else is building one, and have questions, please contact me. More to come
