Are you guys functional planners?
The Organized Money I definitely am a functional planner! I actually purchased the hourly and weekly planner layouts for my home life planner as well as my work planner so that I can keep up with all my traveling and weekly meetings. Need to grab the colorful boxes stickers.
Yes ma'am I will say I'm a functional planner. And I like to color code or color block. It has to catch my attention without overload. But I like using stickers...only in my home planner though. TFS!!!
All functional all the time. To the point where some other planner people think I'm boring.

Good, sensible advice. I like this better than the overly fussy, over-stickered planning that ends up looking like wallpaper, with barely any room to write. (Don't get me wrong, I like stickers. I just don't get crazy with them.)

I haven't seen anybody do such a great job using the hourly format like yourself!! Great tips for hourly and great tips for any planner style. The colorful boxes really give you that pop of color and draw you in to the most important things for your day!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I am truly a functional planner. I tried to decorate heavy, but it honestly overwhelmed me and I couldn't really see what I had to do. I do like some stickers though.
My favorite tip was #8. I write all these to-do's, at one time, with the hopes of getting them done, but then life happens. It honestly causes unnecessary stress. I am going to trying "planning as you go" next week and see what happens. I think it will help me get in the habit of preparing for the next day.
The bonus tip is perfect! I keep my planner open at work on my desk. I started doing that about a month ago and ive already seen an increase in productivity!!

I have stickers galore but I find I don’t use them as much. It’s like I need the perfect spread or I won’t plan anything. I love your tips, especially the bonus tip of keeping your planner open at all times. I will try that.

I have the Otto 2019 Goals planner and it is set up really functional that it incorporates a lot of your tips. Especially side bars which has a 3 goals list, reminder and notes section, the top bar that has an inspiration of the week and a reflection column, and bottom goals and tracking. It has a section for goals, reminders, and gratitude. While in the main section it has 3 daily priorities and two smaller boxes beneath for extra notes or stickers. I loved this video. Gave me some ideas for how to use the sticker sheets inside. I like the idea of using arrows to signify how long a task takes and I think I might give that a shot since I used pomodoro to time estimate.
I love that you use the Happy Planner system. This makes your channel much more relevant to me.
I too still write down my plans onto paper, and also use the calander on my I-phone. Good to see others are still doing this🌈🙂

I just bought a happy planner and could not find anyone creating a functional planner! They just cover them in stickers. They are really pretty, but I want to actually accomplish something. Thank you for sharing your tips!

Thank you for sharing function on planning - I've gotten away from the "pretty" planner with stickers as I no longer have time for that now, but this really works for me, especially for the planner I keep at work!
This is a great video ... I'm a functional planner .. I also use stickers to highlight important dates and tasks ... I also like to combine some bullet journal techniques in my planning

Thanks for sharing this. I use a Big Happy Planner cover, but it's more like a frankenplanner inside. I've cobbled together various planner components & use bullet journal icons + some stickers. It seems to be working fairly well. I like the brain dump half page idea a lot & am going to incorporate it into my planner.

Nice video. I guess great minds do think alike! I probably do all 10 of these! I've had an actual paper planner for over 3 years. And i love it! Soo far my favorite has been the franklin covey binder kind. I have a video on my channel how I have mine set up. Tho next year i wanna try a filofax kind and in a smaller size.

I would love to see if you have any tips specific to planning in a dashboard planner. I have switched to this as I have more "do it sometime this week" items than "do today" but I can't figure out what I want to use all the dashboard boxes for. The happy planner categories they preprint here suck! Lol

How do I break my major things into my horazontal planner?
I've decided to get better at planning in 2020. At work and home, I never feel like I get anything done. But I love Happy Planner and am having a hard time finding a classic-size hourly one. Do you have any ideas? Thank you for the video!!!
