Necron tech basically is Reaper tech in the 40K universe, impossibly advanced and impossible to understand, to the point where they can travel at FTL without using the Warp, which isn't possible for any other faction.

That's the sound for the reapers main cannon from mass effect and that is IN FACT a kinetic weapon that is essentially a mass driver that fires streams of molten metal in place of solid slugs. so not a laser.

Saren Soran dud the imperium is not that unified they struggle with a lot of internal issue, heresy is one that cause the most problems within the imperium.
They will hold the line, because the future is grimdark, gothic, full of war, and written that way. Gothic rules create tragedy .
Numbers DON'T count. Eldar are supposedly rare, but if the player wants eldar, there will be enough for a battle. Space Marines are rare, but if player buys them,. They WILL BE THERE.
.in other fantasy stories, war drives plot. In 40k plot drives war. War is eternal. If there is Peace, war will bloom. If wisdom wins a battle expeditiously, said wisdom will be suppressed. Everyone is morally a leetle bit skanky.
The plot fluff endures.

That's basically what happened recently at a part of the galaxy. The necrons were like, "u know what, fuck this Great rift thingie" and they erased it from a whole section
I clicked on the video with the implicit purpose of seeing if this had Mass Effect 3 reaper sounds and I was not disappointed.

You hear something amongst the chaos of the invasion. You hear it getting closer as it moves rubble. It itself doesn't make any noise that you can really hear. Only the movement of the environment can be heard.
Then suddenly, perhaps over your hiding place or near you, it appears (19:05) with its weapons drawn. scanning and attacking on sight.
So spooky. It puts a big smile on my face :D

It sounds like whatever area the sound is being "recorded in" has already been kind of sucked of life, and ur hearing the battle from a good 200m+ distance away, with the occasional shit flying by you

Xenon Well it went well while it lasted. They basically ended up on some distant imperial Iceworld through some warp Tom fuckery near the Halo Stars. Found out the world was a Tomb world in the middle of awakening and proceeded to do what good guardsmen do: go to war.
However the campaigns postponed or discontinued due to extenuating circumstances of a few people. It blows, but what’re ya gonna do? Maybe I’ll use this campaign for a different time or group.

Sad thing, the Necrons used to be scarier. In their initial incarnations, they were just straight up horror movie slasher robots that relentlessly left madness and death in their wake.

A very nice job, but its mostly reaper sounds from ME. Mb its would be better to try to use sounds from DoW: SS for necrons? That sounds are pretty good.
Actually while there's a lot of Reaper sounds in the beginning, most of the sounds in this (other than the background ambience) are actually from Universe at War. The main reason I didn't use DoW Necron sound effects is because there isn't much to work with. Generally speaking, all of their weapons sound similar, they make the same movement noises, and there aren't many vocalizations that I could use in something like this. This isn't to diss on Relic or anything, when they made Dark Crusade, they were working with the 3rd edition Necron codex, which was pretty bare-bones in comparison to how they are now, so they didn't have much to work with either.

By the way, there are also lots of very nice sound effects for necrons ( and for most races) in Ultimate Apocalypse mod, such as absolutely magnificent pulsation of generators (can sleep with this sound), lots of unit sounds (DD monoliths, pylons) etc.. The same situation for other races. Is there any chance to hear sounds from there in future?

I always thought the Reapers from Mass Effect were terrifying. Maybe it was that taste that drew me to building an army of Necrons. To hear the Reapers again in this ambience explains it all.

That´s why I loved the beginning of Mass Effect 3. Just standing on that rooftop and witnessing the Reaper stomping that city to the ground was givin me chills.
the whole game gave me chills and the reaper sounds for some reason always give me chills. the ending is what fucked it over for me. mass effect 3 was the best game til the ending.
Too underrated for the many people that want this, spreading this to my friends now.
Only thing missing is maybe some Astarties yelling and screaming orders. Just to contrast how silent the Necrons are.

The start makes me think of a Warlord titan scouring the battlefield among a sea of glowing green. Blaring it's war-horn in defiance of the xenos abominations, as it rains apocalyptic death on the enemies of the emperor.
It sounds like an imperator titan just shot off a big gun and blasted a necron landing unit into oblivion then blared it's warhorn after the kill then shot another. That gun sounds way to big for a warhound.
Love the weapon sounds of the Necrons and what i would imagine is the sound of Nightschythes or Tomb Blades :D
