First up, Penelope and Colin are finally an item! But hold on, before you start planning their wedding, remember that carriage ride confession? Yeah, things get complicated fast.
Actor Luke Newton, who plays Colin, spilled the beans to Deadline about the upcoming drama. Penelope's secret identity as Lady Whistledown is gonna throw a major wrench into their happily ever after. Colin can't figure out why things are frosty between Penelope and his sister Eloise, and that mystery becomes a huge focus in part 2.
Luke says, "The gossip... is one of the most fascinating things about the show" and promises it'll keep you guessing. He even compares the whole situation to a ringing in your ear - it's just constantly there, reminding them of the secret. So yeah, Colin might be feeling content after proposing, but that feeling won't last long!
Claudia Jessie, who plays Eloise, also dished on the drama to Vanity Fair. Let's just say, she's not exactly thrilled about Penelope and Colin's engagement. Especially considering the whole Whistledown thing. Claudia says she can't see Eloise reacting well, and honestly, we can't blame her!
