I followed this step by step. That video was perfect. These radios can be tricky but way worth it. Awesome radio. Great customer service. This guy helped me out a lot.

Nice video. I'm trying to figure out the mobile I want to get. This really helped me out. Cody, I'm sure you've heard if before, by your voice certainly does not match you. Great broadcasting voice. You should look into doing audiobooks.
That's a good question: does the software for the 878 work on the 578 successfully? I see that in two months, you haven't gotten a reply. Not a good sign! 73 F4CLS DE N2GJ
@@N2GJ Hello Gerry. I did the test myself. Yes, it works perfectly. I went through the export / import of files in .CVS format. Only the settings linked to the specifics of each device must be adjusted independently. We are never better served than by ourselves ;) 73 de F4CLS Olivier
Good morning, I have it Anytone 578 uv pro for my car.what program do we need to program it.I tried AnyTone AT-D578UVIII PRO - CPS V1.18 & Firmware V1.18 but it wrote me the wrong program

I hate to admit I'm terribly behind the power curve on modern xcvrs.. but, I am. Will this unit scan all three bands at one time.. and all programmed freq's.. or, do I have to switch to the different bands? I'm not sure how all this works.. I'm an ancient ham who still lives in the past.

How can I connect Power to this radio in the house? Do I have to get a "Power Supply Module" or can I attach an Outlet Plug to the wire ends coming from the radio's wires??? Please help I don't want to fry anything...
I have my GMRS License Will the allow me to TX and RX and use the local GMRS repeater in my area? I would like to use my Amateur radio and GMRS on one mobile radio.
Technically this would be illegal to TX using an amature radio on the GMRS bands. You can certainly RX GMRS signals on an amature radio, but TX is a no-go according to the FCC. Now that being said I have seen people do it (never myself have) on a beofeng uv5-R.
can i please get some help with radio? AT-D578UVPro.: When I connect power to it, the boot begins then it goes straight to the Calibration Date screen. After making the adjustments on the screen if I press the "Confirm" button (MENU) nothing happens. It's stuck in Calibration Date. The power button doesn't do anything. I have to remove power. Any idea what's going on?
It took about two months to figure it out working a few days here and there. But is assure you, anytone is a good radio and once i figured out the cp i was good to go. They dont put a lot into programing analog repeaters as they focus a lot on dmr.
Cody is very detailed-oriented. He is probably about the best person you could ever have explain things. He makes it easy to understand.
I agree. 👍

I hated this radio at first, once I started to learn how it works now I love this radio. 👍

I like the video but it was confusing when the programming the radio was talking about the 878 as opposed to the 578.
Thank you for your comment. Almost everything discussed is applicable to both radios.
Will my code plug for my 868 work on this? Just plug, write, and go?
We have a video tutorial for doing this exact thing! - ua-cam.com/video/n8cFgCXBZGg/v-deo.html
Thank You Bridgecom. K6HAH
How can I connect Power to it in my house? Can I Plug it into my standard wall outlet OR do I have to get a power module for it???

Well the title of this video is for the 578 mobile but the content is for a 878 HT, are they compatible?
Negative, but the process for updating the firmware is the same

Don't forget to turn on the mic switch lol.
I am thinking about getting a 578. Do I need to get a hotspot or is one built into it
The 578 will require a hotspot to function if you don't have a repeater in your area

You will need to contact support if you purchased the radio from BridgeCom as it may be a hardware issue
This video for programming the 878 not the 578.
Indeed
OH great cant download firmware eithor code does not work.
My code did not work. guess the university is not such a great value

The radio manual is crap. Wish your video skipped all that obvious software loading step and got into basic use first.
I'd love to see non-styrofoam packing material... it's an ecological nightmare!
Bag it up and bring it to the nearest UPS store.. That way it gets used more than once.
