I love the passion and enthusiasm you see Asheville and Western NC through on this channel. I moved here this summer after years of debating where to live long-term - and it makes me even more excited to keep exploring it. This channel helped me start understanding its various sections more! Working food delivery helped me explore many nooks and crannies too. Amazing homes and nature. Wide variety. I wanna visit the Peace Gardens!
Oh, thank you so much for your comment. I am glad that my channel is useful to people who live here as well. I can imagine there are lots of places you still have to discover. One of the things I love so much about being in Asheville is I get to be a tourist in my own town for years before I get to the end of everything to do here!

Asheville truly needs a holistic vet, and not a vet that advertises as such but is still completely conventional and pressures people into unnecessary vaccines and feeding kibble- which is all I've found near me. There are few alternative vets, but not enough and not conveniently located; and so you will find many upper middle class people looking for your services. As well as a host of aspiring artists, artisans, yoga teachers, massage therapists, alternative healers and whatever else- some succeeding at what they do, while others are working low wage jobs in the service industry and will want to barter for your services.
If you are making money and love to buy crystals, upscale beautiful boho clothing and jewelry, handmade soap, kombucha, essential oils and the latest alternative healing or just fun artsy stuff- then you will love Asheville. If you are not a constant consumer, and instead work in the shops and restaurants that serve them- you might hate it here. Asheville is a hotbed of spiritual materialism, but the weather is beautiful! The weirdos are becoming outnumbered by the retirees and beer swilling tourists. But that's happening everywhere. There's still a unique and wonderful sense of community in Asheville, but also a sense that everyone is selling something and wants a piece of you. Everyone wants to monetize their hobbies and sell you any information that once was shared freely. but maybe that's everywhere.
It can be hard to get an appointment with even a conventional veterinarian here. Both the retirees and the weirdoes love their pets; so this town needs more vets, especially holistic vets- and so it could be the right choice for you.
(Unlike the yoga teachers and massage therapists, you won't find a million others competing to provide the same service.)
