I love your statement that you are looking for products that offer solutions, not problems. Anecdotally, I feel like people were more willing to try and make things work in 2024. Now, in 2025 it seems like we are all rethinking how hard we need to work to make things work, whether it be with clothes or products. I love the honesty and realism!!
I have the Chantecaille Future Skin & I love it, but agree about the shade range. I really need a lighter shade in it, but they need more shades on both ends, as well as more range in undertones, certainly. And I agree about the Hello Kitty powder - a pleasant surprise! Have a great weekend, Sandra!
I have the Patrick Ta blush duo in "She's so LA" reminds me of the Merit and it has less sheen and a matching powder blush. I have hit pan on it which is super rare in a blush.
I love this makeup chatty format, I feel like I’m catching up with a friend. You have great bone structure and don’t need a contour. I’m similar and realised why do I need to contour? I’ll save my money for other quality products!
The beauty pie pitted cream blushes are a satiny-matte cream to powder formula and really nice😊. Love how reasonably priced they are so you can experiment with shades.
Hi Sandra, thanks for the reminder about the Chanel face pallet. I completely forgot I’ve got it🙈As soon as you said that yours has gotten bad I quickly run to smell mine🤣 My pallet doesn’t have a strong smell that would indicate it’s gone bad but when smelled very closely it has some weird scent to it. Not sure if the smell was there before though?! Will have to try it on my face to see how it performs. Perhaps it’s also gone bad😢 x
@ Aw thanks for your reply, Sandra! I am always impressed by your ability to finish up foundations. I have similar struggles with olive undertones and always threw me off. I have been using Givenchy green corrector since past year to adjust some of my foundation and agree with you on its performance. I have to say that you may want to consider trying out Prada foundation and eyeshadow! Valentino foundation is also stunning! 🤩
Love these videos, again I still have a few left overs from last year as 2 lipsticks. They r flat I have to dig out the lippie. I've finished lots of cleansers, eye creams. I've also finished Clinique super surge moisturizer in the universal shade, I've finished a Mac powder - which takes forever to finish. Just a great video ❤❤❤❤❤
As a fellow elder millennial girl that blazer is stunning wear the hell out of it! I still have one from that time and it's such a vibe! Luxury brands now that they are moving in the natural direction make me not want to buy from them due to the price if they go bad faster that is just frustrating sorry about your compact! And are you going to update your project pan? Curious to know how you did.
I only have two things left! The makeup by Mario cream bronzer and the Sisley HD powder so I’ll be carrying them over into this year until I finish them 🙂🙂
It's settled! I'm springing for that Givenchy concealer! I believe we're the same N250 shade so it's great to know the formula for that shade is great (sometimes shades behave differently in formulation, I've found, when the coverage is medium and above). Ugh, editing my comment to sound my disappointment in hearing that your Chanel palette expired on you. I haven't had anything turn at all but I tend to buy from the permanent collection (aside from the sparkly Duo Lumiere highlighter and the Jardin Imaginaire Blush and Highlighter Duo in Light & Berry). Sound beauty decisions (as always), Sandra! xo
I find that those long-wear lip liners like Maybelline lifter liners and the Lisa E original liners are too drying and crinkly, so I love the sculpt and shade liners from LE which are more creamy and hydrating
So disappointing the Chanel blush palette has gone bad. I feel for you. I've NEVER had a powder blush go bad! I do have one Chanel powder blush, and this makes me think I had better start using it instead of saving it because it's more "special." It can take awhile to use up a blush, especially when you have more than one! I don't think I'll be buying another Chanel blush. Eighteen month shelf life is not very long. I really appreciate knowing all this. Thank you!
the blush formula in the palette is different than their standalone single blush formula so I hope you have a great longevity with your blush! does it have a floral fragrance to it? I had one of their powder blushes before and I remember it smelling really nice. It lasted YEARS!!
@@ttsandra Thank you Sandra! This makes me so happy! YES, my Chanel blush does have a floral fragrance. I'm still sorry yours went bad though, but it made me realize I need to start using mine more often. I appreciate you letting me know. ♥
i can't bring myself to drop coin on chantecaille but the way you describe it is how i describe neutrogena undertones lol. of all the drugstore brands they have so many beautiful complexion formulas but the undertones have zero nuance and they cannot do neutrals. can brands please learn to use blue pigment in the new year🙃
I really hate this trend of removing good preservatives in products. I still want indestructible makeup products, thank you very much!
me too lol
Absolutely here for Newscaster Sandra, bringing us the beauty news we need. 😊
Got the hello kitty powder and its really good! and packaging is too cute 🥰
It’s so cute, it makes me smile every time I use it.
Your skin, makeup looks amazing in this video. I really like what you did with your hair as well. Beautiful! Happy new year ☺
Thank you!!

Yesss this definitely applies to clothes as well!!
Love your honesty
You should be a model!
You look beautiful, as always 💫
Aw, thank you so much! 💖

I keep waiting for a shade expansion 😩😩😩

I bought this on a whim last year and it’s turned into my favorite blush! It’s so long lasting too and I have oily skin
Totally agree with Chantecaille needing to up their color range in foundations. ❤
It would be such a game changer!
I’m going to check all my Chanel products today! I just bought the new highlighting quad excited to try that one out
it’s so pretty!

yesss exactly!! might as well work with what we have
The beauty pie pitted cream blushes are a satiny-matte cream to powder formula and really nice😊. Love how reasonably priced they are so you can experiment with shades.
Thanks for the suggestion!

I hope yours is still ok! try and use it in the next few days and see if you like it
Have you thought of mixing the GA with Guerlain foundation?
I tried it once this summer and I didn’t love it 🥲

@@ttsandra Good job! And yeah finish them this year will be so satisfying!
I like the rhode blushes a lot, they remind me of the merit but with more colour.
love the shade options!

It’s so good. Wore it all day today and forgot just how great it was. I really missed having it in my collection 😄
I have the Chanel palette, no smell but two of the shades dried out 😕
Nooo 😩😩
Thank you for the video! I was thinking of getting merit blush but after this video I will pass. Not a huge fan of too dewy blushes either.
Their shades are so gorgeous, I’d love to see them do a satin finish range
Also, they gave that Chanel palette new and sealed on eBay :)
The Chanel mirror they sell
Is tiny!
Thanks for the heads up!!
Twice this week I reached for a product that smelled like play doh! You’re 100 correct.
usually if the product still performs well I continue using it (with caution lol) But it certainly takes away from the luxury experience 🥲🥲
Or I find lipsticks sometimes smell like wax crayons
@ yessss
I find that those long-wear lip liners like Maybelline lifter liners and the Lisa E original liners are too drying and crinkly, so I love the sculpt and shade liners from LE which are more creamy and hydrating
Agree! I’d rather sacrifice longevity and reapply the liner lol

@@michellekelly2937 definitely use it and enjoy it!!
I purchased the Suqqu Nude Ware Liquid EX foundation I had seen on your channel and I love it, thanks. :)
Same !
That’s the foundation I’m wearing in this video!! it’s lovely 🙂
Love your content but miss your life lately videos... Will you ever upload another? 🥺
Shade 4 of the luminous silk probably would work.
I think so too especially since it would be a winter foundation for me lol
That Playdough scent is a sure sign it’s gone bad. With lipstick, once they smell like crayola crayons, they’ve gone bad.
Yes! Crayola crayons is a great way of describing it lol

It is SO frustrating when the undertones don’t align 😭 we need that blue pigment!!!
With the "cleaner" trend... it's unfortunate, items are turning too quickly😞 all the more reason for more mindful consumption going forward 👍🩷
Exactly!!
@ttsandra 🙏
