The kids will at least have stretched their brains in school, by exposure to a wide spectrum of things to do, and I think the kids and their parents will find out which activities they like, and which activities they will avoid if they can. They should know what activities they are good at, and areas in which their performance leaves more to be desired.

I love his approach to education. I think its sad that we spend so much time going to school and once we graduate we are not really qualified to do much. I think nurturing your kids natural gifts and talents is a great idea. You are showing your kids that they each are different and unique and they will end up in a field that they love and/or creating their own business bc they will have spent their child hood becoming an expert in a specific area that they love vs the average person learning the basics of everything and not really having any type of advanced knowledge or skills in anything.

A college degree is not learning just learning a subject. It teaches you the subjects you are interested in and the ones you aren’t. It demonstrates you had the initiative to go to class to complete all the assigned work you were given. You also demonstrated you could interact successfully with a lot of different personalities. In other words you are responsible for yourself and capable of being a reliable employee.

From what I can deduce, he keeps them well and truly grounded. They don’t seem in the least bit spoilt and have a great time, I think, with their Dad. That’s exactly how I feel about thr schoolinh system & why I wanted to keep my kids in private school, but homeschooling is definitely the way to go. Also having come from California, the school system out there is an absolute mess.
Both my son & daughter are highly intelligent & when you recognize that your children have certain gifts or skills, you should want their education to focus on developing those skills.
