These are great cars. They are actually the most reliable e9x model and probably one of the most reliable M cars as well. Besides the throttle actuators and preventative rod bearing replacement, these cars are pretty solid.
@@CB12345 Yeah, I have a friend with an E90 328i and it's been a nightmare. This week, the issue is the ECM randomly stops firing the #5 cylinder's ignition coil and going into limp mode. And that's the E9X platform's "reliable" model. It's too bad it's so problematic, so difficult and expensive to fix, and built so poorly because it's actually a nice car when it works.
Great review Zack. Happy that your procedure went well. I have an e93, 2008 single hump, 6MT. Drove it to Key West last winter, it's an awesome car with the top down. Did I use my stereo, nah! LOL. Just listening to the V8 all the way down the overseas highway. I highly recommend this car in a convertible if you like to cruise. I don't track my car or worry about the extra weight.
Interesting placement of buttons. Most cars do not have a CD & circulation button on the steering wheel or tire pressure reset between the center vents. That button is usually hidden in the glove box. The central locking button is normally on the door with the other buttons
They called these & 540i manual 3rd gear automatics, so torquey you never had to shift, 335d automatic so torquey I plowed through highway blizzard on all-season tires.
Cracking video about a cracking car. Definitely future classics. Excellent daily drivers if you keep on top of maintenance. (Not the first/only M3 with a v8 tho)🧐
I didn't know they came with a V*. But, as a locksmith that is not equipped with a computer to program BMW, Mercedes or Crossfire key fobs, I don't work on them
That’s funny, I was just watching an m3 rod bearing tutorial. Trying to convince myself I should buy a salvage title beater and get my dream car lol. I’ve heard everyone does it by 70k. Probably good to do oil analysis on oil changes as an extra fail safe too.
As someone who’s been through 34 surgeries, I understand your feelings. I hope it’s gone well and you recover quickly.
My favorite generation of M3! Btw at 7:10 was for the iDrive controller if the car was equiped with navigation
This is my favorite M3 generation. Even if I heard these were hell to keep maintained constantly. 😂
Good luck on your procedure Zack! Never realized how much I needed a M3 till today 🔥🔥

The only thing faster than this M3 is how fast it will drain your wallet.
This is hilarious, but also very accurate. I always loved this generation M3 the most, but it is definitely a maintenance nightmare. 😂

Awesome video Zack! So cool to see my car on UA-cam 😂.
Interesting number plate
It means 'GO' in bulgarian
My favorite M3
Best M3 yet
I agree, this was probably the last time we saw some great BMWs in general before they started going the wrong direction with their designs.

5:16 Service Engine Soon😅

@@blankmeme224 I had an E30 🙂

Hey man. Love the videos. Love the channel. Glad you didn't die.

I need to drive one of these bad boys
so happy you didn't die 🖤
Actuators and rod barrings new gasket covers and the car is fine ppl just don’t wanna maintain their cars then cry when something goes wrong 😂

Good plan, you would be surprised because some of the used M3s of this generation aren't that expensive to buy.
Sounds like a german ferrari
6:36 you forgot the seat heaters
I don't care if you have an M3.. I'll pull from a stop light with ya! 😊
BMW's take on the muscle car. As unreliable as BMWs are known for being, it's still common to see E90s swerving through traffic at high speed.
The indescribable disappointment of hearing a V8 burbling away, turning around to look and seeing a BMW.
Good man. Good car, good doctors
Such a nice car
Ask the owner about his 15yo gf
😭😭😭
this car and 335i is what gave BMW its bad rep
My Goal is a convertible
I have an e93, they are the best when you really want to experience the roar of that V8. Drove mine to Key West last winter and it was a blast.
First, correction. Second.
Overated money pit what sounds good.
First
Are those 18 or 19 in wheels?
