Bcoz counting start from 1,2....
If u start counting 0,1,2, in that case sine for odd and cos for even

mam in waveforms you have used polar nrz instead of bipolar nrz

We use polar here means positive for 1 and negative for 0
In some books polar termed as bipolar and bipolar as ami
So waveform drawn as polar
