- In this video I give you a full in-depth review of the Fendi Medium Baguette Bag in beige lambskin nappa leather with golden hardware. I share the pros and cons of the Fendi Baguette bag, show you how much the bag can hold and what it fits, give you mod shots and tell you, if I think the Fendi Baguette is worth the price. Cause this Baguette Bag by Fendi comes at nearly 3000€ and nearly 4000$. Since I just rented this luxury bag, I can speak up very honest and unfiltered and give a very detailed review, not just of the good things about the Fendi Baguette bag, but aswell all the cons, the Fendi Baguette handbag does come with. Cause even tough this is a trendy, yet still classy bag, not everything about it is that great.

I own three vintage Fendi Baguette bags, but they’re all the larger Mama Baguette size - one is a “mini” version of the Mama. Two of them are slouchy, the other is not … that would be the version in patent leather which is much more structured. I’m good with both types, to be honest. My collection is FULL of very structured bags, so I’m appreciating the “slouch of it all” more because it’s something different from me. Everybody is different and you learn over time what works and doesn’t for you! ❤

After years of lusting over it, I finally pulled the trigger on the medium Baguette but in the selleria version (I LOVE the feel of their leather and it doesn’t slouch). Mainly, I thought the relief-logo of the nappa version would look dated after a while. It’s fabulous for me. Fits a ton, looks so chic and is very versatile as it seemlessly goes from day to night. I found the leather strap silly, though. It’s too wide and way too short. I bought a beautiful chain on ETSY and wear it crossbody, so that worked out even better.

My vest actually is vintage 😁🤫 I bought the most adorable wool set from an older lady, including this vest, matching skirt, matching jacket, hat & scarf. The complete ensemble combined is a tad too much matchy matchy checks for my liking, but I absolutely love those pieces worn seperatly 🤎
I hear you on the cons…great detailed review. I recently bought this bag while traveling in Europe and even with the savings and getting vat back, I feel it was a little overpriced. However, I must admit that I love the bag. I bought it in the light blue color. I added a lightweight chain extender so I can wear it crossbody comfortably and I love hand/crook of arm carrying the bag. I use a very thin organizer so shape is maintained without sacrificing capacity. I get that one shouldn’t have to make modifications for such a pricey bag, but I think I wanted a bag similar in function to my Loewe puzzle bag and the baguette just does it for me! I love the look of the peekaboo also but just can’t get over how weighty it is.

I love the medium baguette but the size is just too big for me, which is why I picked the midi instead, it's just right for a petite person like myself. Thanks for sharing! The color is stunning.

In my opinion, these bags never looked like they were worth almost 4k. There are so many other luxury bags you can get at that price that are no much nicer from other brands and even from Fendi. I know those are different styles but to me they are at least comparable. I don’t like that the top handle is so short, I don’t like the closure, and I don’t like that there’s a gap between the sides and the flap. I’m glad you enjoyed it and got to try it out.

Totally agree! The Mama Baguette version is the better deal on the preloved market and so beautiful aswell! Wish I could test one of those to see, if it would work well for me 💕
Love this Baguette - such a classic looking bag! I have a mini one and I agree with you, the magnetic closure is annoying to use. I’m scared I’m going to damage my bag when opening it. I’m hoping it will become easier to use with more wear.

Really great way to test out bags! I've been playing around with the thoughts of getting this bag but honestly this video gave me second thoughts :D even though I have watched so many videos about this and all say that the leather will be saggy and that the longer strap is not ideal.. I don't know, maybe I listened more carefully this time :DD Gwenny recommended out of these two the mini size and probably I'll start leaning towards it now :D
Thank you Poola! I know you have an eye on that bag - and I think the Mini version might be the better one (in terms of looking more structured) - especially since you are able to fit everything you need into WOCs, the Medium Baguette might be even to big for what you need on a daily basis.

Maybe the soft leather in such structured bag is not the best, it cannot keep the shape and it looks strange. The perfect photos we can see around are just prepared and are not the result of a nirmal use of the hag 🤨. On the contrary I like the slouchiness of the mamma baguette, I am having a look in the preloved market. I am very disappointed about the glazing, in a pretty new luxury bag 😢. Are all of the baguettes slouchy like that? I don’t own one but it’s on my list. They appeared very structured.
I guess the smaller sizes might be mpre structured, but the medium lambskin ones seem to be more slouchy than one would expect from pictures

I don’t have experience with the Celine Triomphe bag, so I can not really compare. Do you prefer slouchy or structured bags? That’s probably the key difference between them.
To me personally the Fendi Baguette would not be worth it

Hi Iris 👋 - I would recommend to check it out in a store, before ordering online. Since it looks (and behaves 😅) so different from the product pictures we see. It‘s so much more slouchy and saggy than I would have expected. Other than that: if you can deal with a fuzzy closure and don’t need a long crossbody strap, I think it can be a great bag. If you don’t like the slouch and want a longer strap, the Mini size might be the better option 💕

As far as I remember the slouch of the Baguette is an original design feature. When this bag came out Fendi wanted to design an "easy" bag, one that´s lightweight and roomy which they obtained by not giving it structure/ compartments.
If that was the goal: mission definitely accomplished! I can agree: it‘s easy, it‘s light-weight and roomy! (And that I‘m not the biggest fan of the slouch is a Me-problem 😁)
I think this is a great way to try out designer bags, you get to test them out knowing you aren’t fully invested financially, and you can base your final thoughts on just the practical side without having to justify the cost to yourself, and you get to see if the bag would work for you before spending the big bucks.
Yep, so far I absolutely love the renting-concept (I‘m nearly surprised, how well it worked out for me with this bag). Now I‘m super curious to see, if the next bag I‘ll get, will be the Bottega Veneta one, that I chose, or the surprise bag - can’t wait for April 😁
It depends on the materials but the vintage Baguette does not have more structure than the new ones…
