The 300SLs had a good chunk of the production painted in the "corporate" Mercedes Silver, but they would actually paint it nearly any color you asked for back then. There were over 60 factory colors, plus a slew of one-offs so references (or your imagination) are your friend. Continuing well wishes for your brother's health.

I'll continue to keep your brother in mind as he gets treated and recovers. Decades ago, I think Johnny Bench, the baseball player, had the same mass and he completely recovered.
On the Dodge L-700, I'll be watching with interest when you work on that. I have the kit, and the only youtuber I've seen build it glued the doors shut. Something about the hinges wasn't right. So I'm hoping you can help educate us on how to make that go together correctly.

Wow what a mail call, stash adds. Man i would like to get one of those Ford explorer kits. My dad saved a Ford Explorer from the junk yard that same body style. It's a 2000 Ford explorer Eddie Bauer edition with the 5.0 AWD, fully loaded. It needed a fuel pump and intake gaskets and a few little things. Clean low mileage Explorer with the 5.0 he got it for a really good deal. I would like to build a model of it. Something different to build 👍😎
