I took a photo safari in 2019, and part of the trip was being able to visit the Hadzabe tribe and we were able to follow three men on a short hunting trip and yes they do walk fast. We also visited a Datoga village and watched the men make the broadheads for hunting, I purchased four of them to help them out. We also got to dance with them and listen to them sing, it truly was an experience of a lifetime. It was amazing these hunters could hit a small bird no bigger than the palm of your hand with an arrow.
That’s amazing. I’m really glad you got to experience their way of life for a little bit. Definitely gives you a different perspective on all of the material possessions. We fill our lives with in the western world.
IMO, this is the most important and impactful video you've ever made, Alice! You are one incredible person. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Take care, be safe, and keep up the great work!
Alice, What an amazing story. It was the best video I have ever watched . I like that they are happy with the Simple Things in life. I ask God for the Roof over my Head. Food to eat. And putting opportunities to give back to people less fortunate than myself. I live in the moment, Don't Concern myself with the past or the future. 23:46 These people have reinforced that my belief is Good. That we as humans are caught up in life not as it is, But as it Should Be. 9 Lives 🐾 Appalachian Adventure Guides & Outward Bound. May God watch over your Journeys !!!
Alice, what an incredible journey. I have been visiting the Hadzabe people for over 15 years, and last year they made me an honorary member of the tribe in a special ceremony. My upcoming book (preview available on Amazon) The Evolution Gap was heavily influenced by my time with them.
Alice, that was an amazing video! It’s hard to even imagine that people can still live this way… It has to make us feel just a little ashamed of everything we have… This video was so informing, and you are also an amazing woman… Loved it!!! Until the next time…
That was an amazing video, Alice. Baobabs are huge. Fantastic experience to be among them, to learn a remote culture and a way of life. No internet, therefore, no stress, time is forgotten. They are not on the clock. Harmony is well established within the community. I always wanted to try, making fire with a stick. That is a basic survival skill. Thanks for sharing. 😎
@@AliceFordAdventures heys so I actually have a question.,,,, so u mentioned they can drink that water? how ? like are there stomachs different from ours? do they get diseases and stuff? im just curious about that its unique
@@AliceFordAdventures If you haven't seen the classic movie "The Gods Must Be Crazy" (1980's) you might enjoy it. It is the story of a tribe of Kalahari bush people who are introduced to modern society in a happen stance kinda way. Your video brought back memories of that film for me. For what it's worth.
Interesting visit with these people and making us aware of this culture. I think you’re doing important work helping these people. I wonder if they could get a well drilled in there land for water year around? Hopefully some funding can come there way. Thanks for taking us along. Dave
Yes I hope so. Sadly there is a well but a religious organization drilled it and they won’t let them use it unless they send their children to their schools which u find rather disturbing.
It seems that most everywhere worldwide, with few exceptions, the natural world gets fenced off, razed, and altered beyond recognition, when compared to their original state. Im guessing few places remain as they once were. Some examples of preserved lands might be Antarctica, Mongolia, Siberia, Alaska and Northern Canada. This is fascinating to see people so much on the move, always traveling by foot every single day! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
As a Tanzanian i feel sorry for this Azabe tribe 😢 but i can explain a little about this tribe they use to run far far into the forest when the government search for them and want to give shelter they escape and go more far but they're some they starting to change and living normal life as human being i pray for all community to change and live normal life as human being 🙏
They don’t want to be forced to live a normal life. They want to live they way they have for centuries that’s why they ran. Think about the centuries modern man has had to assimilate for indigenous people governments ask them to change overnight.
I’m writing as essay on this tribe, can I ask from my research they are an egalitarian society and all the papers I’ve read they don’t have Chiefs is this a new thing?
I am not sure what papers or research there has been on this tribe so can’t say for certain how things were before or how things are in different bomas but in the one I visited, yes there was a chief and he was kind hearted and even tempered making sure each person got a fair share of food and water and also leading the hunts. He was chosen not born into it, and I would guess that when he ages out of skill a new one would be chosen.
What modern day convenience would you have the hardest time parting with?
Driving
potable water
Medical care during childbirth! Hadzabe life expectancy is 31.😮

Yes this is so true, it’s so interesting to look back at the world before land ownership was how we defined wealth.
