But it was broken on October 7th when terrorists committed the greatest atrocities the world has seen since the holocaust. Please research about historical attempts of peace between Israel and its neighbors going back to before the British mandate before responding to this comment.

What are you talking about? The British mandate after WWI? Israel didn't even exist until 1948. They are on land that isn't theirs. A ceasefire would only be the beginning to returning the land back to the Palestinians.
