I love my Xotic Effects pedals. Been running the classic trio RC>AC>BB for years. I have a Soul Driven but as much as I love it, I've shifted from Fender amps to Marshall and HiWatt which are naturally darker (especially my HiWatt) than my old Tweed Blues Junior and Champ(s). It's great into my Laney VC30 2x10 combo tho! Ripper pedals. Overall, the AC Booster is my favourite (if not my favourite overdrive, full-stop) and the RC is my can't-live-without clean boost. It's always on!
I own the Xotic Soul Driven and Love it. I must say sir, This is not the Alan Hines Signature Soul Driven. His is Blue and has his Initials on the front. I own both of them. Both are awesome. Thanks for the Video.
I like the RC Booster so much that I have three of them - the original, the V2 and one as part of the Oz Noy pedal. The original is still my favourite. Add to that a BB Andy Timmons and Soul Driven, then it is fair to say I like Xotic’s pedals!
I just ordered a BB but have the EP and SCB as well Both those later ones work well in a loop of a clean channel to give a little edge of break up clean tone if needed on a really clean amp
OK I Just put it back on the board , Its just been staring at me. I always missed the clarity of the pedal. Its back in full effect! I never take the BB+ off though.
Less familiar with the AC booster? You saw it on my board at church when you were a kid! It was a mainstay until I got my Zendrive. But I still have it. Keep up the good work!
It feels more closely like an ODR1 if anything. Pretty smooth. Tubescreamers have a mid hump that you can’t really adjust like this pedal can. My opinion ;)
I agree with Bryan // it's closer to a blues breaker meets ODR-1 with the variable midboost but it definitely has a compressed feel. its not as open as other more "transparent" type drives and has a decent amount of gain on tap.

Haha, yeah the BB+ is such a cool pedal. It can get a little grainy with the way I play but it cuts through the mix in the mid range so nicely
Nice video and playing!
thanks!

you still got that AC booster?
Would you say it’s a tubesceamer or somewhat of its own thing? Sometimes I find tubescreamers put a blanket of compression on your sound

İts very similar to sl drive especially when you cranek the mid boost
I have played the SL drive a couple times but i need get my hands on one to really dig into it. This is good insight thought, thanks!
10 minutes plus before sounds?
I’m not sure what you are referring to??
