Pride Month-How Should We Respond? (Ep. 99)

  • June brings out all the true colors of corporate America as companies pander to the LGBTQ community in honor of “Pride Month.” You can’t go shopping or open social media without seeing rainbows and the LGBTQ flag displayed on everything from clothes to food. But what exactly is Pride Month? Where did it start? And how are Christians supposed to respond to this celebration that goes against our beliefs?
I started #Fearless because so many people were asking how they should respond to those they know and love who are living in this lifestyle. And I’m doing this episode because more people are again asking “what do we do?” I’ve said before that love has become the greatest stumbling block for many Christians, because we have used “love our neighbors as ourselves” as an excuse not to share the Gospel.
On this episode of Fearless, I encourage you to address Pride Month with grace and truth. And I hope you’ll join me in praying for those who are facing challenging situations with those they love as they navigate the cultural acceptance of Pride.

YOUR version of God's word... if you choose to continue spreading hateful messages, at least have the decency to acknowledge that your so called "truth" is not universally held by all Christians. You bring shame upon us all.

@@catthegreatest9365you talk about "hateful messages". But you just cannot stand a different opinion. The "pride community" does distinguish by intolerance towards everyone who does not cheer to their lifestyle.

I worked for Starbucks aka Satanbucks. Left my career and never step a foot back into a store since 2020 and it is something I will stick to for the rest of my life. I was in a cult and it took time to adjust my mind since I left the cult. But, it all went down exactly as God had planned. He made a way and lead me back to him. I praise God for rescuing and bringing me out of the darkness. Not going to Starbucks is a lifetime Praise to Jesus for rescuing me and never leaving me, even though I had left him. His love is never failing.

Thank you so much for confirming and speaking out loud Christian truths on your platform especially on this topic. My prayer every June is that a troubled youth struggling with choosing this lifestyle will hear the Truth and turn from it. ❤

Great Wisdom - thank you. The church has failed at LOVING this group of people...I have too. Thank you so much for confirming that we can stand our ground, on the truth of JESUS, and LOVE as He commanded.

@@More_Milla I can and am. Jesus never said anything about gays. What kind of Christian claims they follow Jesus and ignore his word? Love one another is the charge.
Can you point out where YOU have been assigned the job of judging others and whether or not their relationship with Jesus meets your specs?
If you are going to put Paul’s words in Jesus’ mouth you best get slavery started again and make sure all of the Christian women are being obedient to their men.
Find me the passage where Jesus says to dehumanize people you don’t like and we’ll talk.

@@More_Milla As have mine. Except in my life, God has been there since the beginning though. He didn’t have to take over from anyone. He was always there for all of us.
You didn’t send me the passage were Jesus condemns gays and appoints you judge and jury. I’m sure I missed it somehow. A Christian with the power to determine they are followers of Christ while judging others should be able to produce some kind of Heavenly word to prove you are now the one who judges.

I have struggled with this, too. Only to realize that, the reason Jesus never said anything about gays is that it was unacceptable in that culture, as it is in many of the Middle Eastern cultures today, and most were stoned to death. Jesus didn’t need to speak out against this.

It’s not judgment. I can affirm you as a human being and love you despite your lifestyle Whether you are a thief, liar, adulterer, etc. That’s where the confusion lies. Of course, some don’t consider homosexuality, transgenderism, etc. a sin. We are all sinners.

I know that god is okay with gay people because he is my father. I know my father and he shows me what is right in my soul. Showing these people anything but love and a place of belonging feels wrong to me. My father gave me that feeling. ❤
Gay people are just people. It doesn’t matter where you chose to put your love or how you decide to make a family. God loves you no matter what.
If this isn’t your god? I’m so sorry for that! But I know my father is far more capable at loving than I am, and I know it is wrong to believe there is not a place for gay people. ❤
