Hi folks. Too bad about the 2-door Buick coach. A whole new frame will be the best. I wonder if the return spring in the fuel pump is broken/failed, causing the no fuel issue. Yes, you need to take steps with the Buick oiling system as you stated, the placement of the pump in an aluminum housing does not help with longevity. Cragar mags have been and always will be the go to mag wheel.. They do work on most anything. The Skylark is nice, my God son has a 72 convertible with lots of metal work replacement panels. We have lots to do on it but at least we drove the car a couple of years and have needed parts, just looking for disc brakes. The engine is a Buick 350 4-bbl. It runs and should last a while longer we hope! . Thank you for sharing this car, I hope Riley enjoys his car and the Le Sabre coupe can find a good home. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more from you
I knew you'd like this one when you mentioned the 72 skylark convertible in the Lemans video, glad you get to enjoy it at least. Yeah man, keystones are pretty cool wheels but cragars take the cake. Yeah I think the 85 will find a good home, I wouldn't swap the whole frame, I'd have it back halved at the rear torque boxes and call it a day
There's a chanell that he loves and knows all about Buicks shows you how to make them live w oil passage changes and stuff like that he drills out things and chamfers others and says it helps a lot which it has to be true cuz it makes sense what he does and he has a 400 Buick motor in a suburban
I have a question will the small harmonic balancer from an 1985 307 work on a 1968 olds 350 I’m trying to use the whole pulley set up 68 came with no pulleys only the balancer please help
Nope use the 350 balancer in the 350, it is to balance that motor in particular. If you use the 307 balancer in the 350 it will throw the 350 off balance. Try it and see if the other pulleys line up
Hell yeah dude, that Buick is bitching, can't wait to see when he gets the 430 in it and maybe putting poss in rear end, very nice car there man and the price I think was fair for how well the condition it is in, sweet vid guys🤘
Ohh no doubt the 430 is going to make it special. He's weird tho, he's more worried about finding disc brakes then he is looking for a posi lol. As for the price, he got what would be considered these days as a steal but to me, he got the car for what they are actually worth.
Posi and 3.42s is the plan. Luckily being a 72 it's got the GM corporate 8.5 so I can get a posi and gears out of pretty much any gm product in the junkyard. I do want disk brakes becuase the front drums are nearly impossible to get to the bleeder screws(and they need bled), and even if you do it could strip.
That tire is fine lol it takes a lot more abuse than that and he should have got it decent w the old tires before the new ones were on dah put an old on on the back passenger side
There’s no way that is a stock 350. I had two 1972 Buick skylarks in the late 80’s and could not lay down rubber like that. That may be a 1970 or 1971 spec engine swapped in… 1972 they dropped the compression and it was a dog. Actually the rear bumper on yours is a 1971 (no rubber strip) so the car may be a 1971 model.
It's definitely stock, nothing on the car has been tampered with other than the body work. It's a 72. GM lowered compression across the board in 71. This skylark is pretty gutless but it still does brake stands, idk what was wrong with the one you had lol maybe it needed points or other tuning.
NICE FINED BUICKS ARE LIKE OLDSMOBILES ALL ABOUT THE TORQUE .👍👍👍
💥BUICKS ALWAYS FRY THE TIRES ‼️👉🏼even the 2barrel cars!
Awesome, great job Riley. Oh I definitely put the Buick 430 in the skylark.. can't wait to see more on it.
Great project you picked up there Riley , sweet 👍
Nice cars man
Thanks man. We're always playing with neat toys on the channel 👍
That's one heck of a deal! With the 430 it is going to be a rocket!
This is the way
