Excellent work! There is a loophole in the bargain. Faust was so glad the work was still being done because he wanted his people to be happy. If Mephisto (who isn't literally the Devil, by the way, but a devil, a high ranking demon) gave him a moment he wanted to never end then he belongs to Mephisto however that moment came from caring / love. Something no demon can invoke. That came from Faust's own innate goodness that he thought of compassion as the greatest sensation. That saved him. Mephisto isn't the source of that final moment that allowed him to drop dead.
i have NO idea why you are not getting a million views per vid. these are hilarious, well done, and actually give you a good idea of what happens in the play! ( with how much detail you put into this i know it must take a while to write ) thank you!!!
I have and exam today and need a book to use as facts and examples, ive read it, but cant seem to remember anything, and this helped me to recover all the memory, thanks for what you do, you help a lot of people
Hmm. I'm glad I never read Faust. Makes me curious what the big deal was back in the day. Maybe it was just the basic concept, which I must say is intriguing.
I swear I was listening to the audiobook, and everything was fine, and then I blinked and Mephisto is talking with Moiras and Faust really wants to bang Helena of Troy. So now I'm left frantically searching for a recap of the second part
I'm so proud you turned Goethe's Faust into a crack fanfiction
I mean it already kind of was, but *this*
“So where are the bit- a witches around here!” 😂
Faust: Is someone there?
Care: yah
Faust: PISS OFF!
This is a direct translation I believe.

I don’t know. The plot line seems more suitable for an opera.
