Boy does that getting along one not get talked about enough. So many little cliques and egos you'd think it was a bunch of high school girls not grown men! Get the job done and be cordial especially at a utility where you are gonna work with the same people for decades potentially.
How long does it take to become a strong climber? I had a tryout on some 45ft poles with small transitions, then the final test was a 65ft with multiple obstacles. I completed everything not scared of heights really just took my time but didn’t get selected for apprenticeship. This was with a large utility company in my area. I was surprised they told me no thanks because I did everything even though it was my first time climbing. Just wondering in your opinion, about how long have you seen guys take before they were strong climbers?

You just weren’t the right person, keep looking.
Tip #1 - Don’t become a lineman it’s not worth it
