  • In this video we show you how to fix the latch for your Automower's keypad cover. This is an issue we see pretty often when the conditions get dry and dusty followed by rain. The rain washes the small pieces of dust, dirt, and debris down into the latch's inner parts and starts to limit the travel or bind up a few of the latch's components. Fixing the issue is not an overly complicated process as you will see in the video, but does require splitting the mower's chassis open. If the mower is still under warranty then this is something you will want to have done by an authorized (AND QUALIFIED!!) Automower repair tech. If your mower's warranty has expired, then you can take care of this on you own and save yourself some money and down time.

This seems like something a dealer should include in a winter service package.

Glad we could help! It's frustrating when the cover doesn't latch. Or pops open while the mower is mowing and causes it to shut down.

Thanks for the feedback. On something like this we usually just use an air hose and some windex.
