Royalist emu confronts Sir Michael Parkinson

British TV personality Sir Michael Parkinson has used the opportunity of the 2011 Australia Day Address to declare that Australia "becoming a republic" is inevitable.
As Thomas Flynn from Australiansfor Constitutional Monarchy observes, this is new.
Normally Australians tell us this from the safety of the UK.
There is no point expecting republicans to denounce this intrusion into Australian affairs. They won't.
Parky should remember one thing. Australia is the land of the Emu.
