I normally never try to make a comment on UA-cam comment sections. Prefer just being a viewer but had to make an exception to this one. Such good content and so well explained.
Thank you for such an informative tutorial. The way you take up common mistakes, and their solutions, is commendable. I am a beginner, and trust me, it has helped me a lot. Best wishes!
Thank you very much for these amazing tutorials. LaTeX used to be a black box for me, but with each video in this series, the box is becoming lighter😇.
The tutorial series is so good. The explanation is so concise that I as a beginner can write my formal report from scratch JUST IN HALF A DAY!!! Thank you very much, I appreciate your teaching style!
This is the best LaTeX Tutorial series for beginners in my opinion. Thank you for creating and uploading this concise yet understandable video series :) !
I am so grateful for this extraordinary content, I'm learning LaTeX for my physics studies and this has been a big help. Thank you so much for your effort!
This is seriously brilliant!! Thank you once again Michelle Krummel Maam!! Your lectures are so much fun to attend to. I have been learning LaTeX for the past two-three days and i am finding it insanely useful!! Solved so much of my headache!!
If i have 2 columns how do i arrange them properly , the second column is going out of space and the paragraph in first column i not written in multiple lines, it is written in single line
Awesome! Your tutorials are the best I've viewed. The way you present the material reminds me of my AP Calculus teacher from many years ago. Thank you for all you've taught me.
In 25:52, you could've used \begin{table}[!th] % rest of the latex code ... \end{table} Notice the table option (`!th`). So, you don't have to use float package anymore. You could also use `h!`, it will also fix the problem.
I learned a lot from your tutorials. Will you please make video on how to write a matrix on a Tex maker and also how to add visual content to Tex maker?
Hi! Thank you for your tutorials! They are very helpful and easy-to-understand. I like how you are not too fast but also not too slow in speaking. Would you have an idea why my \vspace[1cm] isn't working? Does it require a package, too?
@@MichelleKrummel Hi, Michelle! Thanks for your reply. I figured it out. I was viewing your tutorial from a very small screen so I did not notice that it waa supposed to be curly braces instead of square brackets. But I wonder why you wrote square brackets in your reply. May I know when a square bracket is used in the code and when a curly brace is used? They seem to both be used for indicating parameters or specifications. By the way, your tutorial vids are so helpful and easy-to-understand. Codes can get intimidating but you've broken it down to a way that beginners can digest. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much. Your tutorials have really helped me a lot. I have a question. What textbook would you recommend to someone who might want to learn about latex further?
Hey again Michell! I've just finished writing this tutorial 3. I's been wonderful doing it. May I ask a question please? If I wanted to justify to the left side of the page the fractions and the arrays what should I write in the code, and in which line/s? Hope I've been clear with my question. Thank you Michell in advance and I wish you and your family have a very good new year.
You can use \begin{flalign*} instead of \begin{align*}. Just be sure to use an extra & at the end of each line, like so: \begin{flalign*}1&2&\\3&4&\end{flalign*}
Hello, thank you for the great video. I have a problem that it does not matter which environment I am using ,ex. equation or align, it is always bold in default. How could I overcome this or what is the problem? Thanks!
Nice video; thanks. For the other pedants out there: the name "pipe symbol" for "|" only (slowly) came into use after the creation of Unix in the mid-70s. Before that, it was known as "vertical bar" -- which is still its proper name. For "}" and "{", I just call them "braces"; including "curly" sounds redundant to my ear. "[" and "]" are "brackets".
Hi! I wanted to put my grain of sand here. I am using MiKTeX 20.6.29 + Visual Studio Code (which I find best for multipurpose editing plus I've synchronized it with Github), and tried the \def command for stretching the array, but it didn't work. I had to use enewcommand{\arraystretch}{1.5} instead. Thanks!
Thank you for the tutorial series. I have a question, my data in table is large (comparative analysis), contains more columns and rows and I would like to have it in landscape mode. Is there any way we can do this in latex?
Is possible to use the align enviroment for numbering certain equations and not others? For example let's say I want to enumerate just the first equation within align then I proceed to put some equalities that I don't want to enumerate, so later when I use again align enviroment continues the previous enumeration.
Yes, you can use onumber to turn off numbering for a specific line. See the explanation here: tex.stackexchange.com/questions/17528/show-equation-number-only-once-in-align-environment/17529
Best tutorial for Latex one could find on UA-cam! This series is amazing!!

(1) Try inserting a blank line before it, or (2) try \vspace*[1cm] instead. It's hard to say without seeing the surrounding code.

If using xelatex to compile, `\parindent 0px` will cause an error, works by using `\parindent 0pt` :)
