- basically Pete and Keith pissing about
featuring Ringo and Russell Harty
Part 2 - • The Who funny moments ...
clips from The Kids Are Alright, Isle of Wight festival 1970, Cow Palace 1973, London Coliseum 1969
Sorry for my nasty editing lol
Nothing better than Keith heckling his own bandmates
John Entwistle standing all stoically amidst pyrotechnic mayhem lol
John’s literally standing there like: 🗿
They were a rock band and a comedy group.
The Who were actually funnier than the Monkees...
@@mikepatrick5909 well that was not too difficult for them, was it?
@@mikepatrick5909
They should have had their own TV show. They even had a good old laugh about Pete making more money through publishing royalties which would usually break groups up.
1:03 me trying to keep it together while my whole life is falling apart
Keith was more funny than some comedians today.
Yup and ppl weren't so damn pc and oversensitive like they are now!
~ Roger Daltrey has said Keith Moon was the funniest person he has ever met, "...hands down, nobody else even comes close..."
@@juliebryne2903 yknow my generation wasn’t allowed to be played on some radio stations in 1965 incase it offended stutterers right
@@leahdorothy i never heard it banned anywhere and i grew up in that generation! Nobody really thought like that back then!
Absolutely indeed! X
Look at all these bits makes you miss Keith and John even more... Them boys were funny and amazingly talented.
1:03 Keith: Drumming while grinning like a the madman he was
Roger: Busy playing around with Keith's cymbal
Pete: Violently smashing his guitar into the nearest amp
The stage: Covered with explosions and chaos
The audience: Wtf is going on
John: *sigh* Just another day at work
John was holding onto that bass for dear life
I know they did it on smothers brothers… but can anyone tell me which show this happened on plz!
Thank God these guys created great music because if they didn't they'd be labeled crazy
1:33 John trying to ignore everyone
1:34 John 😑 annoyed
1:35 John concerned
I saw the who live wembley 2019
RIP keith
RIP John
same
Pete's introduction was longer than the song.
I believe they were talking about "A quick one, while he's away"
Theeir second job was comedy standup
Townshend is famously in love with his own voice.
Seeing Keith and Pete just chatting and having fun, while Keith and more down to earth but still Keith Moon is really heart warming.
“You look like a plumber.” Keith says to Pete disapprovingly. Trying to defend the spotless white coveralls Pete stammers some arty nonsense about “stage clothes” and “new moods.” Interrupting and quickly snapping “Well I’ll have half a bitter and think about it.” Moonie says sounding unconvinced.
That Smothers Brothers appearance. Keith Moon tells the tech to increase the charge not telling him he already had. The thing goes off, permanently damages Pete's hearing, it blows a piece if a cymbal off that injures Keith, Roger and Pete check their hair for fire, then there's John. Calmly playing his bass. I swear he could sip his tea through a plane crash and not spill a drop.
😂
The wonderful Roger of Oz.
Right…. I wonder just what made him say that?? Funnnn nyyyy!
Just a bunch of good old British lads having a cracking time
0:50 “we play the private parts”
"You look like a bloody plumber"
We need biographical movie for the who only for this to get more popular
no because we dont want 14 year old fangirls running around like their experts.
Just watch The Kids Are Alright... It's practically a meme compilation with live footage.
@@QueenFan12I truly don't think there´s anything bad with new fans, even if they are 14, you get an influx of new content and after 6 months approximately the craze slows down and only the new "true" fans are left, happened with the queen fandom, now a lot more of ´normies´ listen to their music and you have tons of new edits/videos/compilations every day thanks to the new YOUNG fanbase. Yes, some of them can be a little bit obsessive and entitled when they first start learning about the band, but they usually grow it out, and if you know where they are, you can easily avoid them, for example, the twitter Queen fandom and the Instagram Greta Van fleet fandom are for the most part unbearable, so I just simply don´t go there .
The Paranoid Blues Man how can I watch this
@@QueenFan12 That's what happened with Queen and Elton John lol.
why aren't there more memes about the who?
we do need more
Because we arent ready for them

I know I'd never be able to keep up with him, but hanging out with Keith Moon just for a night must've been an experience like no other
"Because he likes to watch." LMFAO Pete!
8:11 that hit hard
I’ve been waiting for someone to make a video like this about them, Thank youuu for this!!
Roger, Keith, Pete: :D *insert aggressive epic things that any 70s rock band will do
John: what the fuck
Pete Townsend: the only man who can smoke a cigarette outside in the rain
Younger Pete looks a bit like Roger Waters and Keith with beard a bit like younger Martin Scorsese.
Totally agree
You are not wrong
Why did I have to born in 1981 instead of 1951?
To see the Who live would've been absolutely amazing
Keith Moon eating the flower fucking hilarious xdddd
The greatest rock band ever. FACT
I’m in love with Keith..
RiSe Typhoon did i ask for your opinion?
RiSe Typhoon Well, you care enough to reply.

Pete : "I SMEEEEEEEEL FEEET"

02:22 Sneaky Pete knows nothing can begin until he launches into the song, and I mean LAUNCH like an astronaut into space, the final frontier...
Keith's SDS he was very funny and played very well
In 1980 my friends Mom took me to see “Kids are Alright” and as a 13 year old i was completely blown away. Been a WHO fan ever since
I might have been at the same theater you were cinerama dome Hollywood I was probably 14-15 ? about that 🤔 My dad even though he’s older loves rock n roll he took me to see the kids are all right and Woodstock and it completely blew both of us away
Omg this is so funny thanks I love it laughing my ass off.
3:20 - conjunction between Moon and a Starr!
8:32 damn he sounds like french

Roger: ORA ORAORA
Roger's one and only attempt at humour.
I love Pete and Keith.
I was waiting for Moon to call Harty a 'fooken pooftah'
3:25 I am so confused why is ringo there
They were great friends!
Ringo and Keith were buds. Keith was Zac Starkeys God Father and taught Zac how to drum.
Timothy Sweeney Zak.....
Mudstone ! - Damn autocorrect. Haha. When I type “Zak” my phone autocorrects to “Zack”. I backspaced the wrong letter!
Timothy Sweeney ahhhh, dang!
More the who funny moments please
It's like Monty Python's: Legends of Rock lol
Poor Roger…. He just keeps his head down and SNH moments. Maybe that why he grew it long! I love the long hair tho!!
Lmao 😂 🤣 Keith moon 🌙 i love him sooo much! Cracks me up lol
....fucking love the 'oo..
Anyone know where I can find the full version of the John interview?? Is it in a documentary?
I saw the Who in seventy six and Roger was wearing that vest
5:52, It's funny, not just funny, it's legendary
0:14 Keith: you look like a bloody plumber
That was awesome fun.
I mean come on - WHO else had this much fun and wit onstage (and off)? Answers on a postcard please; form an orderly queueueueueue...

😂😂😂😂😂 Legends!!!!!
what song did they perform on the Harty show before the speaker stack went over, and is there a clip?
What's the footage at 4:18 from? I want to see more of it lol
HelloDollies It’s from the movie Tommy. The song’s called “eyesight to the blind”
Eric Clapton plays in it. The whole song is on UA-cam
Watch the film 🎥 , Tommy! ❤
Lot less John on here than expected, like how he got rich later than expected.
Keith Moon That so funny 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
WHO 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
They don't make em like they used to
At one point Keith Moon, Harry Nilsson and John Lennon shared a house in LA during Lennon’s lost weekend (18 months)🤣🤣🤣🤣
Imagine if those walls could talk.🥃👍
Roadrunner honey
Keith de no haberse metido tanto en el mundo de las drogas y alcohol, ahorita seria el mayor icono de la bateria.
The Who in their 20s in The 60s were like guys in their 50s in the 90s.
hey guys, does anyone happen to know what the song is called that starts at 4:17
I've seen a lot of WHO clips in my lifetime, never saw that one. Had that Spinal Tap look about it, very Stonehengious.
Sorry, no clue on the tune being played.

@@5jerry1 Thank you so much!
@@SoftTangerineDreams ~ Glad to help.
@@5jerry1 do you know which concert? I can't find it anywhere
@@DiegoMontemayor34 ~ Pontiac Silverdome. December 6th, 1975. I know this because it's in the soundtrack of "The Kids Are Alright." (Double LP and film.)
I bought the record when it first came out and saw the movie shortly after, and for some odd reason, I remember this odd bit of trivia. Had it on VHS for a long time, later got it on disc, but the definitive version is the Director's Cut. I have it, and it's the best rock film ever (in my opinion).
I guess a recording of the whole concert is available now, but this bit is definitely from the 1975 Pontiac show.
5:53 what song is that?
Dunno bro
Roadrunner
“I’m a Roadrunner, honey, and you can’t keep up with me!” 🎶 ❤❤❤❤
Does anyone know where the clip starting at 07:20 comes from?
Backstage Shepperton 1978.
