Thank you. Hope you have fun in Armenia 🇦🇲! If you plan to visit the region, I suggest Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 first, Georgia 🇬🇪 then Armenia 🇦🇲! Armenia 🇦🇲 border security tend to be understanding
Just recently got back to the US from Armenia. There was a group of us. There were times when we were on our own. A couple of times I went out on my own in the evening or during the day. Had no problems. Loved it!
The border guards on the Armenia side were really kind after they saw my passport having an Azerbaijan stamp. I think in the Azerbaijan side, they take it more seriously!
Of course it’s safe to travel to Armenia in 2024… periodically the Azeri’s fire at the border with small arms or arty to try to blame Armenia for violating a ceasefire (not that anyone actually believes these of course) but the majority of Armenia is safe from any such occurrence. Its really only an issue at all right along the border and perhaps Jermuk, maybe
Thanks for this video. As a French man, I have already visited Armenia 2 times with family and friends. I love a lot this poor country with great hearted people. I particulary loved 2 things there which also explains why this is a safe country : 1/They respect all their old stones and artworks placed in public parks. There are NO TAGS on them, although everything is unprotected and within the reach of public. 2/ the whole country is so safe : You can see women or young girls sitting and chatting in a park, in hot summer time after midnight, without stress or danger. Armenia is the SAFEST country I know in the whole world. Thanks again for your video. I advise to have a look for more about Armenia ua-cam.com/video/WLdEwK4mSIU/v-deo.htmlsi=sxvzprBXtLspLA5D
@@adobotravels No. The initial plan was to visit Georgia too, if we had time but we weee too happy in Armenia. As for Azerbayjan, we boycott that country for z reasons: their aggressive policy to Armenia and the civilians in Nagorno Karabakh . Secknd, their lack of democracy: ots regime is brutal to its own population too. There are many opponents qnd journalists in jail, just for their opinions. YOU SHOULD NOT HELP THAT DICTATORSHIP BY HELPING THEM TO MAKE MORE MONEY.. Do you know Aliyev family was in Panama papers for having stolen billions of dollars of public money. You should have moral principles in your job and cancel all your contribution to the current Azerbaïdjan.
@@adobotravels Geography is one thing, the history and culture is another. For instance Australia is at the other end of rhe globe but it is of western culture and civilization. In the same way, Armenia is now stuck in a southeastern end of Europe or western end of Asia, but compared to some other countries like Turkey, that are geographically closer to Europe, Armenia is much more part of western, European and Christian civilization. Definitely not Asian. For instance Australia and Israel are part of Eurovision network and Turkey has left that network, estimating culturally it's not their place.
. Different points of view, yes. But for the cross border fire incidents it’s pretty cut/ dry. The UN placed observers on the Armenian side. 2. Azeries didn’t want a group they couldn’t control the movements of. 3. Azeri govt lodged complaints. Why? If nothing to hide. 4. Why would the weaker nation provoke the stronger? 5. An American owned mine was receiving fire with Americans in place. Until it hit the news cycle. Suddenly it stopped - Azeries were embarrassed. 6. The one govt who finds reasons to delay or refuse to find a peace accord is Azeries. All goes well and then Aliyev pulls some sort of random curve. Why? If he doesn’t keep Armenia as the bad guy his regime has no more reason to remain in power. It’s all based on “only I can save Azerbaijan”. He’s the son of a KGB colonel and that’s how to stay in power playbook move. There are different points of view on many things between the two, but the border incursions are decidedly theirs.
