- Last night, we might have seen Edge’s last match in the WWE. Heck, we might have seen this last match in his career. His contract has expired and nobody knows if he’s going to re-sign with WWE, head over to AEW or retire from the WWE. I’ll say one thing. If that was his retirement match, it was a damn good one.
He wrestled the man who helped him get back in the ring in front of his hometown crowd. The match was great as well. Sheamus has been putting on a string of good matches his entire career, but he’s reached a new level recently. Edge even picked up the victory to the delight of the crowd. WWE also made several video packages throughout the night.
There were many other wrestlers talking about the impact Edge made in their careers. And that promo showing his entire career filled me up with so much nostalgia that I was shedding some tears. I’m extremely happy that I was able to witness most of his career.
From the days of hating his guts for slapping John Cena’s dad all the way to his legendary return at the Royal Rumble in 2020. It was special. I selfishly hope he returns for another year or two and wrestles John Cena one last time.

I think it's really cool how they've included Seths back tattoo as part of the story about his back. I've always wondered about it but didn't look too much into it and just thought it was a cool tattoo. Shinsuke as a heel is always fun to see.

I think that crowd is playing a big role in the recent time. Good bookings and crowd reactions together are making weekly television shows good.

Last night Shinsuke, Chad Gable and LA Knight we’re the highlights of raw. I would also probably have chad gable get that push to beat Gunther for the ic championship after Gunther beats the honky tonks mans record. Shinsuke will beat him at payback not for the title but maybe as a DQ if the ref isnt knocked out so that hopefully they will plan another second match where Seth will pick up the victory and a 3rd one where shinsuke will be the new champion if wwe keeps the fued going.
For John Cena return i wouldn’t mind having him face LA Knight, AJ Styles or edge considered the fact he had already had his last match against Sheamus but his contract isn’t up til September. Plus Many people would also love to see gunther vs Cena for the ic title even though gunther is on raw. Even Cody Rhodes once said that he would love to have a match Cena consider the fact that two of them are the biggest babyface’s in the company.

I think Gunther is holding the title until wrestlemania so he’s probably not beating Seth, unless they have Seth hold the title until Summerslam 2024. Although I think Drew should be the one to dethrone Seth Rollins, have Drew turn heel, do a storyline with Drew and Cody (it’s got the perfect story right there) and then build heel Drew up to Seth, and finally give Drew his moment.
