Bin lid change- Knox City Council

Knox residents will be able to dispose of food in their garden waste bins from July'23 and maximise the amount of waste that can be composted.
Between 1 May to 9 June, Council will be delivering new food and garden bins if you don't have one, and changing the red lids on your green waste bin to a new lime-green lid. Along with the new lid residents will receive a new kitchen caddy, a year's supply of compostable liners, and an information pack about the new food and garden service.

Love the colour, but the change over to a weekly green garden and food bin and fortnightly rubbish bin collection will not work for families. The yellow lid rubbish bin needs to stay at weekly.

So what your saying is that we will gen a green bin but then we will not get any bin to put our garbage?

Where I am, we have rubbish weekly and recycle bi weekly. We now use the recycle 3 times as much and the rubbish bin stays empty. I have petitioned my shire (Merredin) about swapping the roster, as I am sick of my carport constantly over flowing with milk and juice containers, to no avail. Its just seems too hard for them.
