      Suggestions from fellow learner.: 1. Write out each kanji, over and over, count out the strokes as you write. Train the hand. And say the readings out loud. 2. There's a number of good flashcard apps. 3. Find instruction workbooks, especially with pictures. 4. Watch these videos repeatedly. Stop at each character and make notes. 5. Find opportunities to read Japanese, no matter how badly you do it. I watch news on UA-cam. 6. Remember, Japanese writing is difficult. And it is learnable. Millions of people do it. My attitude is just because something is difficult does not mean that I cannot do it, it just means that I have to work even harder to accomplish my goal. Language is not something that we think about, it is something that we do oh, so the best way to learn a language is to do it. Sometimes that is easier said than done. But I find that when I am able to communicate if someone in their language I find great satisfaction.

    How to know The difference between on reading and kun reading

    • @aspeltaofkush3540
      @aspeltaofkush3540 5 років тому +3

      Sometimes, the corresponding On-yomi Chinese readings and Kun-yomi Native readings are also written in either katakana or hiragana alongside the Chinese characters. Katakana is mainly used to write non Chinese origin foreign words borrowed into Japanese. However, since Chinese itself is a foreign language, its borrowed words are also sometimes written in katakana alongside the Kanji to set them apart.
      For example, 山/mountain can either be read as サン/San (On-yomi or Chinese reading ) or as やま/Yama (Kun-yomi or
      Native Japanese reading)
      海 カイ/うみ KAI/umi Sea or ocean
      体 タイ/からだ TAI/karada body
      After you study for a while, you’ll start to recognize the differences
