    I could really notice the uneven ground but with the 3 point valve open all the way I could see how it followed the contour very nicely. Dave Knows How did an awesome vid on that feature not too long ago. I had never really thought about it in that type of application before.
    Keep on tractoring! God bless.

    Nice job GP. I have a 60" rear discharge mower very similar to yours. I really like them. What i like the most is you can mow in either direction as the grass is discharged out the back. Very nice implement. 👍👍

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  6 років тому

      Good day Dean. Agreed. Really like the rear discharge. It creates a lot of wind behind the unit and the grass gets spread out - no big clumps or windrows even with that tall stuff. Cheers and thanks for watching!

    You have definitely sold me on the 3 point finish mower versus a mid mount mower. Just being able to back under the trees is worth it. Great video as always!

      The hydro-stat transmission makes the forward/backward/forward again so easy. Could not do it that easy with a standard gear drive.

    Hey GP,
    Nice job on Guy's property. The rear discharge of the mower, makes it a lot easier with the taller grass. Stay safe my friend and God Bless.

      @@GPOutdoors Once the 3 point is lowered, the adjustment valve has nothing to do with it. The valve is to adjust the speed at which the 3 point can be lower or picked up. Otherwise the 3 point is free floating. I may be mistaken, but I'd be surprised..

    What I noticed is I tend to mow counterclockwise when using my FDR1660 I suspect due to years of using a belly mower with right discharge but when using the RCR1260 rotary mower I was going clockwise. I figure it was due to years of haying where the haying equipment was to the right. I'm starting to discover with these rear discharge mowers it doesn't matter which direction you go they still do a great job. Really happy I went with the rear mount instead of the belly mount on My B2601

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  6 років тому

      Hey good afternoon Michael. Thanks for the info above. I was not sure if turning either direction affects its cut during the turn. I don't think so but will keep watching it. Happy I did as well. I had a garden tractor with the belly mower and I can do a lot more, better and easier with this rear mount. Is much better without the loader on too since I tried it but the front end sure gets light when driving down the drive way and hitting bumps. Cheers and enjoy the weekend!!

    • @MichaelPMc
      @MichaelPMc 6 років тому

      Yes, Wheelies are easy without the loader on, Last time I just removed the bucket, that opened up sight quite a bit and seemed to balance OK. I expect the rotary mower without the loader would be really light on the front end, I just unclip the brake lock when front is light, in the old farming days the front ends were often light and you learned to steer with the brakes.

    It must be mowing video season. Nice job. I do wish I could get under trees and such with my mower, but then again i can make tighter turns. So it looks like I need both. LOL

    You're becoming quite the pro with that finish mower. It makes it nice that you can back underneath the trees so you don't have to come back and weed whack. I am really glad that you like it so far. Enjoy your weekend that's coming up we are expecting temperatures in a high 90s with heat index expected to be 106 here in Michigan. Later

    Do you need front ballast weights with that particular mower ? I'm getting an LX3310 with the same mower. Just wondering. Thx

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Todd. It certainly made the front a little light on my B2601 when i had it lifted off the ground, but I was usually ok. When it is on the ground of course, it was no problem at all. Your LX3310 will weigh at least 700-800 +lbs more than the B, so you should probably be ok, I think. The mower weighs about 550 lbs I believe. Just my thoughts. Cheers!

      Good morning Bailey. I wish I could help but not sure I have experienced it - do you mean rubbing against your tires? or the articulating brackets on the mower are rubbing against your lift arms?

    • @GPOutdoors

      Good morning Billy. Great question - for me, I prefer the finish mower - allows me to back up under the trees, much easier to attach and remove, and floats freely over the changes in elevation or terrain as you mow. Have a good week out there!

    Do you feel that the tractor could handle a 72inch mower? Doesn't sound like the motor is having an issue at all with the tall grass.

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  5 років тому +1

      Morning Woody! Not sure to be honest. No issue at all with cutting the tall stuff - no drop in RPM or labouring at all. Good question for your dealer I think. I checked the specs on the Landpride website and they are generally identical except for the cutting width. The 72" is about 50 lbs heavier. However when I take the FEL off the front to mow, the 577 lbs of mower makes the front end bounce off the ground a bit when going over bumps when I have it raised and hanging on the 3 pt. Thanks for watching - Have a great New Years!

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  6 років тому +1

      Good morning! I have to say I have no experience on the bush hog and wish I could give you sound advice on this, but I can't. I was thinking the same thing at one point as I was deciding on the mower a few months ago. All I can offer is the following: 1) watch lots of videos ; Tractor Mike has a good video where he compares a finish mower, bush hog and a flail mower and in the video he cuts with each one and discusses the differences, 2) my neighbour has a bush hog and it cuts grass but not very cleanly - it kind of pulls and rips at the grass but still, it will cut it. 3) I would talk with your dealer and get his views. Sorry I could not be more help to you but wish you luck with the decision. Cheers!

    Hey GP, I'm curious as to how Ontario, Canada compares to the communist state of New York. Taxes,freedoms, cost of real estate and such. I'm seriously considering moving even though I have a 100 acre hobby farm out in the country which I would have to replace elsewhere. I'm so sick of the Democrats trying to rule out lives! Sorry to get political.
