I really like that you don't do away with your decluttered decks right away. It's a very smart move. I do this myself. I put all my declutterd into a box on a high shelf. I revisit them three to six months later and nine times out of ten I'm so happy to have not given away certain decks. The great thing about these cards is that they don't expire. Many will go out of print and be worth alot down the road and that in itself can be a good future investment.
I cannot wait for Joanna Nelson to release a travel size version of Cosmobeings. I literally cannot connect with her tarot decks because of the size, they hurt my hands and are impossible for me to shuffle. The travel size of Monstarot was game changing.
There is Radiant Rider Waite in a Tin. It has a brighter and more vivid coloration then the Centennial. I don't think it has Pixie's font though. I bought it for my son and I can't remember the font style for sure. It is ironic I re-homed This Might Hurt and Good Karma and kept Numinous and Luna Sol LOL.
I haven’t watched the video yet, but I have both This Might Hurt and Numinous tarot and I would keep both. HOWEVER, I don’t use Numinous by itself. I pair it with the Threadbound oracle for daily draws and functionally, they act like a single deck to me. Threadbound oracle is the oracle card to start the reading and then I draw two cards from Numinous to go on either side of the oracle card. I don’t think I could work with it any other way. This Might Hurt is my everyday deck and I love it.
I always enjoy the way you discuss the Witches Wisdom deck, even though it’s not for me. And I really like the DaBrigh RWS - no orange faces and the colors are bright but not aggressive.
Phew, you kept Forest of Enchantment! The more I read with that deck, the more I love it, even though I still struggle to remember the renamed suits. I think I was one of the people who commented on the age diversity in that deck, which is one of its strengths (apart from the lovely artwork, which reminds me of Nicola Bayley's illustrations for The Tyger Voyage by Richard Adams, one of my favourite books when I was younger).
Oooh you've decided to re-home my favourite Smith-Waite, the Centennial! And NUMINOUS! I am shocked! I do get shrinking the RWS collection though -- my most recent re-homing included the Centennial Borderless because I always went for the bordered one.
Thank you for your video. It is always interesting to hear how you work with, and understand, different decks. I have less decks in my collection, so keeping them all is not an issue right now. I am at a point where I consider what I have before I add anything else. That way, I am not collecting decks that serve the same purpose. Even so, I still have collected many more this year which means that some in my collection sit unused. When I watched this, I pulled out so many decks that you mention, that I have not used for a long time. I am inspired now to reconnect with them again. Dreams with Gaia (first edition) is one that I bought years ago, even before I started to learn the tarot. I used it as an Oracle deck. I enjoyed what you had to say about the guide book. Personally, I’d keep the original deck because of the larger guidebook. I don’t have the smaller new edition though.
Okay, when you said EDW, my eyeballs nearly bugged out until I saw that it was Modern Witch! Whew 😅😅 Modern Witch being on the chopping block is fine 😂😂😂
Seeing Witches Wisdom and Dreams of Gaia made me want to pair them up because my experience with the decks was that Dreams of Gaia was quite literal and psychological while Witches Wisdom was more abstract and emotional, perhaps evocative. After pitting them against each other inspired from the video, I ended up thinking that they compliment each other pretty well, at least for me.

I struggled to bond with the Numinous Tarot myself, which made me really sad because I am Nonbinary myself so it spoke to me in that way, as well as the fact that I am also a watercolor artist so Cedar's work is super inspiring to me. But, I started using it in my office when I start my workday (as an artist) and that really helped me to finally start working with it. I also purchased the Sacred Creators Oracle earlier this summer and pairing the two of them in this context has really made them so much fun to work with. I can totally see why you decided to get rid of it, but it still made me the tiniest bit sad.
These videos helped me look at my while house differently. I now ask myself if there is a function to what I own and if anything would work better. It’s been amazing.
Every time I see someone with their copy of Guardian Angel, I'm beating myself up for never grabbing it. Not a DV fan in the slightest, but there is something about that deck that is just so aesthetically pleasing. I get the feeling it would be like a hug from my Nana-so happy you kept her!

I’m sure I’ve done it more than once. 😳 Morgan-Greer was my very first tarot deck, so I don’t see myself ever getting rid of it, even though it is not at all diverse or representative. I had decided against Numinous, but now I am looking at it again. Witches’ Wisdom is my if-I-could-only-keep-one-deck deck. Guardian Angel I had never even considered until you showed it off the last time, and I love it. And I have to rewind and find out why you rejected the Land Sky oracle, because I missed it somehow. Of the three you had together there, that was the one I would keep.
I’m so done with the quirky relatable modern realistic tarot deck a lá this might hurt and modern witch. It’s a controversial opinion because I know so many people love that deck style, but there’s enough now. Give me more high fantasy, elves, unicorns etc. When I use tarot, it’s my escape from reality that then grounds me back into reality when I’ve done my readings (does that make sense?). Hahaha I don’t want to see any real world in my tarot decks. I’m weird, I know.
Such interesting decks! I tend to keep all of my decks including the Inner Child Cards ;-) but totally admire how totally honest and focused you are in your decluttering. I bought the Good Karma tarot after your review and I'm glad you keep it.

Also, I am so happy that you kept the Cosmobeings tarot. I bought that deck recently, and I feel bonded with it even though I haven't worked with it yet! The alien cosmic beings really appeal to me. I don't know if this would have made a difference, but when I get a deck whose people or beings I can't see myself in, or which I think is lacking in how it represents the world, I try not to rationalize it or justify it. So that way when I look at the Mermaid Tarot, I don't think "well it's okay that they're all cis and thin, because they're mermaids; they're not real people" because ultimately for me or a querent to relate to a deck that deck has to in some way represent our experiences, and my experiences, as well as the people I like reading for, are varied and diverse. If a deck falls short, I find acknowledging more helpful than avoiding it, if that makes sense.
When in doubt, don't. If it's nostalgic for you, that's reason enough to keep them. Decluttering can include not buying more OR for each new deck you buy, get rid of 1 or 2 others. Good luck with these challenges.

I am very new in my tarot journey, but am now at the age where I also shedding off the layers I have built up over the years. I couldn't have put it any better and I felt the sentiment deeply. Very happy to hear This Might Hurt Tarot isn't going anywhere. It is one of my favorites on my wishlist and I need to pull the trigger on it.
So happy to see you liked the Original large deck for the same reasons I had. I have the same deck. But for a travel size, I have the tin version of the Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot. It is just as crisp and bright as The large deck you kept.
My favorite Halloween oracle is the Enchanted Bruja (it doesn't have a lot of cards, but that's fine when I'm only using it in October); it feels like the fun and the magical elements of the holiday combined. I wish I liked the art or the text on the Seasons of the Witch series, because it's such a cool concept! Land Sky oracle feels so calm and spacious to me, a great match for a yoga practice, but I'm not sure how to use it other than card by card, working my way through the limbs of yoga. I can see why you like/prefer the keywords on Lord Ganesh! There is a mini radiant wise spirit, which seems to have great production value (and slightly smaller than the centennial in a tin?), but it doesn't have Pixie's font, and you may not like the linework. I like that it doesn't have the copyright on the fronts though (that drives me crazy on the centennial!) I don't know what it is about Modern Witch, but it's an incredibly clear reader for me, much more so than the RWS (even though it's a clone!); It's the deck I always have in my purse if I want to pull cards when I'm out with my friends. I was wondering if Rainbow Heart would also fall in this category for you or Lightseers (more modern, inclusive-feeling decks, but close to the RWS)? I think Sasuraibito also falls in this category for me too. It seems like Intuitive Night Goddess would be a great replacement for that cosmic-feeling Divine Feminine Tarot!
The Gilded Reverie is my only Lenormand. It was the one that appealed to me more than any other, and I did a thorough search.. I recently got the Dreams of Gaia small version. I love it so much, I hope to get the full size deck and book at some point.. Oh my Lord Ganesha! I never saw that deck before! On the list it goes! lol.. Oracle of the Radiant Sun is excellent with the Mystic Palette.. I prefer the Morgan Greer to any of the traditional Rider Waites.. Out of group 11, I would keep the Luna Soul, because it would pair well with the Radiant Sun, color wise.. I would keep the Divine Feminine, because I prefer pretty to look at figures, even If I don't identify as such myself.
My wife makes all my altar cloths and deck bags. :) Her shop is sparxcreations.etsy.com -- unfortunately I do believe that this particular one is all sold out though! If she ever gets the fabric again, she'll certainly make more though ;)

UGH I knew that quintet with This Might Hurt Tarot was going to hurt me so bad with my soul deck (Numinous Tarot) up against one of your favorite decks of all time. T_T lol I'm really glad Good Karma Tarot is sticking around though! I bought it before I'd even finished your walkthrough of it and I loved it instantly. I need to finally try it out in spreads. I keep using it as single card pulls and confidence boosting talismans to carry throughout the day (which it works wonderfully for). My Modern Witch Tarot is in purgatory too partly because of the card stock and partly because I expect The Black Femme Tarot to ultimately replace it as my modern RWS clone when it arrives later this year.
Oof sorry for the ouchies!! Cedar's deck is incredible and there's a very good chance that if i'd found/bonded with it first, this would have gone much differently!! ;) Yay for Good Karma - that one really surprised me.
Came here for the empathy. Numinous Tarot is also a heart-bond deck for me. It was my first, and it called to me a few years before I ever read tarot. It lived with me waiting for the right time. This makes me want to try Good Karma Tarot!
I would pair Seeds of Shakti with Wisdom of Lord Ganesh - think they would compliment each other in a reading.I'm pairing Seeds of Shakti with the Star Tarot these days and it's 😘🔥 .
I came out with only adding the two astrology decks to my wishlist but I gasped when you pulled a couple decks out. Like no way you are giving up on that. Phew! LOL
Well done! This Might Hurt, Modern Witch, and Numinous are all in the same space in my head as well...I don't have any of them. I think Numinous has been close a couple of times, and of course TMH always knocks around because it's soooo popular. But...so far not jumping into my library.
I’m just not sure about the way they colored the Da Brigh RWS. Those solid blocks of color just look wrong to me after looking at the old cross hatching printing techniques for so long lol. I totally understand the joy of nice clean line work, though. That makes a huge difference in noticing all the details!
Thoroughly enjoyed your video and choices. While I wouldn’t have been quite as ruthless with my cuts (seldom will a deck leave my collection) I agreed with everything you said about the decks I have in my possession. I noticed you didn’t mention your tarot reading cloth, which you often do. I’ve got to tell you I absolutely love it. I even went to Peggy’s shop hunting for it, although I’ve never had any luck when I do that. Do you think she will have the unicorn ones in there?
Unfortunately I think this fabric i slong gone. I first debuted this cloth quite some time ago on the channel I'm afraid. But - if she ever gets more of the fabric, I know she'll make more of these!
I have both This might hurt and Numinous. For me, they are soooo different. Yes, both are kind of inclusive (numinous do a better job for sure) but This might hurt is RWS with a twist and Numinous feel like its own thing. Note: I don’t have any RWS original because inclusivity is SO essential for me that I feel a disconnect so This might hurt do this job for me.

So happy to see you liked the Original large deck for the same reasons I had. I have the same deck. But for a travel size, I have the tin version of the Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot. It is just as crisp and bright as The large deck you kept.
My favorite Halloween oracle is the Enchanted Bruja (it doesn't have a lot of cards, but that's fine when I'm only using it in October); it feels like the fun and the magical elements of the holiday combined. I wish I liked the art or the text on the Seasons of the Witch series, because it's such a cool concept!
Land Sky oracle feels so calm and spacious to me, a great match for a yoga practice, but I'm not sure how to use it other than card by card, working my way through the limbs of yoga. I can see why you like/prefer the keywords on Lord Ganesh!
There is a mini radiant wise spirit, which seems to have great production value (and slightly smaller than the centennial in a tin?), but it doesn't have Pixie's font, and you may not like the linework. I like that it doesn't have the copyright on the fronts though (that drives me crazy on the centennial!) I don't know what it is about Modern Witch, but it's an incredibly clear reader for me, much more so than the RWS (even though it's a clone!); It's the deck I always have in my purse if I want to pull cards when I'm out with my friends. I was wondering if Rainbow Heart would also fall in this category for you or Lightseers (more modern, inclusive-feeling decks, but close to the RWS)? I think Sasuraibito also falls in this category for me too.
It seems like Intuitive Night Goddess would be a great replacement for that cosmic-feeling Divine Feminine Tarot!

The Gilded Reverie is my only Lenormand. It was the one that appealed to me more than any other, and I did a thorough search.. I recently got the Dreams of Gaia small version. I love it so much, I hope to get the full size deck and book at some point.. Oh my Lord Ganesha! I never saw that deck before! On the list it goes! lol.. Oracle of the Radiant Sun is excellent with the Mystic Palette.. I prefer the Morgan Greer to any of the traditional Rider Waites.. Out of group 11, I would keep the Luna Soul, because it would pair well with the Radiant Sun, color wise.. I would keep the Divine Feminine, because I prefer pretty to look at figures, even If I don't identify as such myself.

UGH I knew that quintet with This Might Hurt Tarot was going to hurt me so bad with my soul deck (Numinous Tarot) up against one of your favorite decks of all time. T_T lol I'm really glad Good Karma Tarot is sticking around though! I bought it before I'd even finished your walkthrough of it and I loved it instantly. I need to finally try it out in spreads. I keep using it as single card pulls and confidence boosting talismans to carry throughout the day (which it works wonderfully for). My Modern Witch Tarot is in purgatory too partly because of the card stock and partly because I expect The Black Femme Tarot to ultimately replace it as my modern RWS clone when it arrives later this year.
Oof sorry for the ouchies!! Cedar's deck is incredible and there's a very good chance that if i'd found/bonded with it first, this would have gone much differently!! ;) Yay for Good Karma - that one really surprised me.
Came here for the empathy. Numinous Tarot is also a heart-bond deck for me. It was my first, and it called to me a few years before I ever read tarot. It lived with me waiting for the right time.
This makes me want to try Good Karma Tarot!
I would pair Seeds of Shakti with Wisdom of Lord Ganesh - think they would compliment each other in a reading.I'm pairing Seeds of Shakti with the Star Tarot these days and it's 😘🔥 .

Well done! This Might Hurt, Modern Witch, and Numinous are all in the same space in my head as well...I don't have any of them. I think Numinous has been close a couple of times, and of course TMH always knocks around because it's soooo popular. But...so far not jumping into my library.
It's entirely possible that one day I let go of Good Karma too - but it's fun so it stays for now :D
I’m just not sure about the way they colored the Da Brigh RWS. Those solid blocks of color just look wrong to me after looking at the old cross hatching printing techniques for so long lol. I totally understand the joy of nice clean line work, though. That makes a huge difference in noticing all the details!

Thoroughly enjoyed your video and choices. While I wouldn’t have been quite as ruthless with my cuts (seldom will a deck leave my collection) I agreed with everything you said about the decks I have in my possession. I noticed you didn’t mention your tarot reading cloth, which you often do. I’ve got to tell you I absolutely love it. I even went to Peggy’s shop hunting for it, although I’ve never had any luck when I do that. Do you think she will have the unicorn ones in there?
Unfortunately I think this fabric i slong gone. I first debuted this cloth quite some time ago on the channel I'm afraid. But - if she ever gets more of the fabric, I know she'll make more of these!
I have both This might hurt and Numinous. For me, they are soooo different. Yes, both are kind of inclusive (numinous do a better job for sure) but This might hurt is RWS with a twist and Numinous feel like its own thing. Note: I don’t have any RWS original because inclusivity is SO essential for me that I feel a disconnect so This might hurt do this job for me.
