Great video. And yeah, the downside of do it yourself live bait ice chests, the water get VERY warm this time of the year. SOLUTION: like you said ice packs, but here's what I think is more practical and reasonable, get you some of them 20oz soda drinks, fill with water AND some salt to make the ice last longer. Then, Place them in your cooler with your other drinks and then have them readily available and put them inside that ice chess with your live bait to live longer. Also, place like some rocks with mesh bags or burlap bags on the bottom, again being held down by them rocks or stones, And what this does is help those live shrimp B less stress free And what this does is help those live shrimp be lesser stress. Little tips like this helps your live shrimp last longer.

I leave this comment knowing this video is 2 years old, but I had the same issue recently when I would go surfing fish of having shrimp left over, but then I started saving them and salted them for use next time I went out. The salt cures them and they don’t need to be refrigerated and the fish seem to still hit them. Been using the salted shrimp with a piece of ‘fishbite’ in the surf. (Jury is still out out but so far I like not being wasteful. Again this may be a none issue given the time this video was posted but I’d thought I’d “leave a comment”.

That’s exactly where I was catching them on Tuesday at that rock that like a bench. All our luck was on the channel side.

What is a best bait to catch a red fish ? Artificial rubber bait or live shrimp ?
Also, do you know any bait shop near Clearlake? The one I buy my bait is on 146 and NASA Rd 1, which I think the lady there sells the bait a bit expensive

That is the channel side. The Brazos river is running high and bleads into it when it does.

anybody have any tips on keeping your shrimp alive longer?
Get a bigger air stone for your bubbler and a bottle of ammonia detoxifier. Any pet store that has aquarium supplies will have these.
