Did you by chance do two lifts (two pours?). The risk there is a cold joint if it didn't get consolidated well between top and bottom or timing was too long or something surfaced on bottom lift while it bled that interfered with the top lift mending. Look for any kind of cracking along a potential cold joint. Consider internally vibrating briefly between lifts to integrate them properly - and shouldn't be longer than 15 minutes normally.

You did a great job. Did the osb survive, in order to re use it for sheathing?

Yes. I was able to reuse most of it for subfloor. There were some corners chipped and a little bowing, but with enough nails it laid down fine.

Really cool! I have a 50' long 4'9" retaining wall all formed up, just waiting for concrete next week. I'm all anxious! I hope it turns out similar to yours. I was cheap and instead of cutting my plywood to height, I layed them sideways, then cut 9" pieces and fastened them together to get my height. What a nightmare... How far did you fill these up before letting it setup a bit before pouring more?

I tried to do 2' Lifts on the first Pour, but by the second section I poured in only 2 lifts. This form system can handle the pressure even with a slump of 7. No blow outs. Minimal leaking.

@@rollingoakhome2381 Thanks for the info! Today was pour day. I used the same forming system, snap tie wedge, double walers 8' and 16' staggered. We poured it up to 3.5' and the forms didn't budge, so we went the whole way and didn't wait. The forms were solid! I did 18 snap ties per 4x8 sheet which I realize now was over-kill. But now I know! Guess we'll see how the wall turned out tomorrow when I strip the forms. Thanks again for posting this! It helps out immensely.

Thinking of doing the same thing how thick of osb did you use and was the osb good after you took the forms down
