That was an awesome video. Such a big help as I'm a first time camper and just tested out my new tent only to really struggle to put it back in the tent. I can see where I went wrong after watching this. Really helpful thank you
Thank you so very much it took me and my room mate 3 time's tell I watch this video my room mate daughter friend give her a tent and my room mate put it together to see if it was all there and it's in a great one it's 8 men tent I told her follow me she seen me rolling it to put it in the bag . She said all right smart but I said that's what UA-cam is for lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 but again thanks for making this video
Top tips there, leave the inner inside, measure the folds against the bag and most importantly start rolling with the poles and pegs inside to help push out the air. Thank you, Millets
Cheers Dan, actually had more trouble pitching it that putting it away. Is there a video that shows how to pitch? We tries putting the poles before the pegs as per the instructions and had trouble getting the poles in as the tent kept moving around. In the end we pegged it first then put the poles through one by one that resulted in a win.
Thanks. I borrowed my sister's tent in summer and just can't get the thing back in the bag. There is also a bottom that goes in the bag with the tent. Tomorrow is New years and I'll be rolling it up again YOUR WAY!
You should NEVER fold a tent. The repeated creasing weakens those folded creases and causes them to fail in a rainstorm. Think about paper maps that are folded repeatedly on the same creases. Tents should be stuffed into their bags. The easy way is to have two stuff shacks, one for the rain fly and the 2nd for the tent body. Never pack them together. Often the rain fly is damp or wet and if you pack the two items together you'll encourage molding. After you trip set up the tent at home and dry them out before stuffing them back into their respective stuff sacks.
Pretty sure folding a tent is fine. I had a tent i used for over a decade at various festivals. It was fine. Only ditched it because someone poked a hole in it.
i can't find a way to get my tent back in my bag even after watching this and alot of other videos. BECAUSE my bag is more like a sock tube. and no matter what trying to pick it up and sliding it in the sock just dont work. the tent i just bought seems to be great nice air vents easy open doors. everything you would want in a tent and lots of room. just the sock bag it comes in SUCKS.
Hi Andre, it's a personal preference with the inner doors really, whichever you find easiest as air will escape through the fabric anyway. It is the flysheet doors that matter the most. They should be left partially open, if not fully open to allow air to escape when packing.
Hi Mark, we have two videos on our channel on how to put up a traditional poled and an air tent. You can watch them here ua-cam.com/video/qEImNZ2asaw/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/4B-vFDZNZVk/v-deo.html

Upside down bag tech. Nice!
I like how you can see someone fly fish in the back
Why don't they just make the bags a bit bigger?
That would be too easy
I agree 💯 lol 🤣🤣🤣
That would require common sense, which we know isn't that common.
Simple.effective.thanks
That carry bag is way bigger then the tent... LoL
The Colman ones just barely fit.....
great tips, and very useful. Thank you!
Thanks. I did it a little wrong but it still fit with those tips. Especially the bag upside down trick

How about when the tent and the cover are two teams and u need to take top cover of to get poles out of tent
👍💯

It's the rydal 500

What if your door is on the long side of a rectangular tent
You know it’s British when they say Swiss roll instead of burrito

Hi, this tent is 465 x 320 x 205cm
Millets Outdoors what model is this tent???
Do it with your Eurohike Sendero 8 XL. Its impossible
I'm struggling with just the Sendero 4!!
Needs bigger bags.
Incredibly 99% of experts say the inner doors should be kept open

Andre Araujo I've always left doors open to let air out
Haha
Yeah. This never happens. Always too big for the bag
Fk me ill get him to pack my tent every time! ?...I can never get tent in bag properly !!!
We want videos on how to put a tent up, not pack it away.
