- This is another video for my Cylinder Head Flow And Dynamics playlist on DragBoss Garage. If you have not clicked on it, make sure you do. Darin covers, Intake valve size, and area ratios, Importance of intake percentage, versus the less important aspect of exhaust. Camming to help poor exhaust flow, and cam cannot fix a in take bad port. He also discuses Rocker Arm ratios briefly, and intake port/intake mismatch. Quick and easy explanations.
Always seeing and learning something new at DragBoss Garage
Thank you for your knowledge and videos USA 🇺🇸 TRUMP 2024
Hell yeah Patrick 💯🇺🇸
I’m running quench Aussie heads on my 389 stroked Cleveland. Do you know what they flow?
I do not, I have never seen them flowed, but know they make power in the right hands
Darin ought to use that vape stick for smoke on the flow bench .
He probably already has Roland lol
Darin,…. 20,000 lbs to open a top fuel valve?? I think That would rip the stem out of the head in 30 seconds or less. 4500 lbs on a pro mod?
Im pretty sure its One two many zeros on both those numbers from what i know.
All I can say, is he said it. I believe it.
I see, i have to pass, I’ve worked on both of those engines plus more that run those times. None of ours or any friends/competition was those numbers. The rocker, alum head and valve train would be ruined in seconds with 20,000lbs. Think about how heavy that is. Cheers
the Pontiac exhaust duration question is a misconception- Pontiac factory cams had more exhaust duration since day one 1955, all the way until the last 400 V8 was made in 1979. Mac McKellar found extra exhaust duration made more power, because the Pontiac head has a severely turned down bent port, to accept under car exhaust manifolds, right from the factory. extra camming on the exhaust is 70 year old idea, John Deloran, Mac McKellar, Bunkie Knudsen. look it up. the lift on intake/exhaust on almost ALL Pontiac cams was the same for both valves.
Wish Darin would write a book already, and save me taking notes every time I watch a video with him in it…
There more to this conversation? I wanted to hear about the Harley head, as it might be relevant to a current project.
Not much on that guy says that it is working great. Thanked him
Coolz...I been using this exhaust lobe theory for 25 years I used to study Jim Feuling's brain glad this is verified I feel good...thanks!
Learning more and more from Darin, every time I go through a video
Very nice always great information! Love these videos!!!
I missed both of the Daren Morgan live, I'll try to make sure I don't let that happen again. When are you going to take your car to the track, nobody would miss that.
David I will let you know on his next live in advance. I am throughly disappointed. Working on eliminating binding issues. Have parts need time.
Quite sure my undersize headers (they were smaller than the exhaust ports), did nothing good for flow back in the day !!
I know 1 7/8 can make 752hp, picked up a bunch going to 2 inch
Good evening guys
Good evening Ramon. More DBG
