I was at this concert in Dallas. This was my first Linkin Park concert and fell in love with them. Was lucky to see them about 8 more times. RIP Chester 💔. They have so many great songs - Waiting for the End is my favorite

im so incredibly jealous. if there is one artist no longer with us that I could choose to see live in concert it would have been Linkin Park w/Chester.

If you like the transition between scream and clean vocals then you have to react to Linkin park - QWERTY (Live in Tokyo 2006). Chester's transition is unreal in that performance. Also Linkin park - Faint (rock am ring 2007 live) is insane too

Yep, sadly prophetic, 17 second scream, first song of the first album where they shifted their musical style. Amazing!! A must!

I heard a vocal coach said about Chester's screaming voice that he used the right technique. That's why he didn't ruin his vocal chords! ♥️

Due to how much you listen to the lyrics, you should check out “hands held high” massively underrated, lyrically deep and can be applied to what’s going on in the world. Some insanely impacting quotes to

Live in Texas is one of the best shows they have recorded. It is Included on the 20th anniversary Meteora box set, but you should def check it out. It is on UA-cam - full concert.

QWERTY live is another insane performance by them. Rolling In the Deep (Adele), Sabotage (Beastie Boys), Wish (Nine Inch Nails) are covers you can find on UA-cam that they've done. Check them out. LP was my introducing to hard/heavy music. They remain my favorite band to this day

If you do "Given up" watch the "Live at AOL Music Sessions", maybe not the most intense performance but he does something there he didnt do many times live. "QWERTY" is also a great example where is switches between screaming and clear singing. For calm songs i like "The Messenger" a lot and theres a "Rolling in the Deep" Cover which is also pretty cool.

Such an unreal performance. For live performance sake, I'd love for you to react to the BBC performance of Grace by Jeff Buckley. For pure lyrical genius sake, I'd love for you to react to Big Bird or Small Red Boy by AJJ (formerly Andrew Jackson Jihad).

2:55 "It's cool but I couldn't listen to like "metal" metal..."
That is what most 90s kids said, that now listen to all the "metal" metal.
Linkin Park is THE gateway drug for an entire generation in at least the Americas, Europe and a lot of Asia. I just love that early Linkin Park now does the same it did for us way back when. :D

For me and possibly many others who 'grew up' on Linkin Park in Junior High and High School, I can very much attribute them to me being more open to metal as time went on. I came punk rock/pop punk/rap background. One Step Closer, their 'debut' on the mainstream rock charts to that point in 1999 was the edgiest i had gone at that point in terms of rock. 'Whoa who is he telling to shut up like this and why am i banging my head.' then of course bands like Godsmack, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Coal Chamber all were on MTV's Total Request Live smashing Luda, Em, Dre for the top spots at the time. Hard to believe I know, but Linkin Park and Rap Rock/Pop Punk, Hard Rock topped the mainstream for a number of years.
But yea without LInkin Park I would have never listened to Slipknot, or gone to Metallica or anything else 'Heavy Metal'

I'm extremely glad you liked the heavy, metal side of linkin park however i would like to see you react to one of their more softer songs like "leave out all the rest", "iridescent" or "shadow of the day" all of these songs are very good both musically and lyrically. I think you'll enjoy listening to them. I'd recommend the live version of these songs.
