This guy is not human. Literally just did a first impressions a little while ago, and already 100% + had time to make this video before most people even finished the game one time.
If you play games for living then you have the time to do it fairly quickly.
Bow down before your gamer god plebs
Yes not human, He is "Ifrit" 👿👻😆
@@astonmartin8537 I don't think I wouod have the mental stamina to play a game 8 hours a day 5 times a week tbh
He has people playing for him
This had been on my wishlist for a while and I was so glad when you said you'll review it, absolutely gonna buy it now
Thank you for this complete review. I was looking forward to this video since your initial impressions.
It is always a joy to see a notification letting me know Mort has uploaded a new video.
Keep it up, my man. Your content is gold!
there is truly no doubting this mans credibility, he's a game completing machine
Or could they be, more than one? Just asking.
I never hear of this game until your video a few days ago..love the art style
This is one of the most well articulated and informative reviews I have ever heard. I love how you get straight to the point and give no useless info, well done. I would like to ask, how hard is to obtain all achievements?
It varies, depending on how much of the legacy system you're using and which playthrough you're on
You hit it right on the head. I bought this game a long while ago, but never really played it because i felt the beginning is a little overwhelming. Im definitely going to play it, just going to give the devs a little more time to refine it
when I first started kenshi each time I would play I would take a break shortly after. Each time I went back I would spend a bit more time in game. Finally it all kind of clicked then I was 500 hours deep in no time
I got it maybe 3 years ago? It’s so tough. Stopped playing. Looks aesthetically very different, wonder if it’s actually changed a lot
Oh hey! I was just wishing to remember this game since Im getting more into rpgs, thank you!
Man I love your content.
Subbing just because of the amazing feat of completing the game before reviewing it. Then I discovered your Pathfinder builds. Then I realized your spoiler free reviews.
HOLY SHIT MAN.
Thanks for the great review, i bought it after your review
lovely review, no bullshit atmosphere building talk and just straight o the point!
now if only those big mainstream reviewers can catch on to this...
Found you from Divinity 2....and sheeeesh buddy keep up the good work 👍 👏 👌 all your videos are awesome!
Just so you know mortismal, it works. I’ve only caught maybe 2-3 videos from you and every time I see a new one,I think “oh this guy! Hell yeah” keep it up im sure bigger and bigger success will come for you.
Great review.. I may try this
Looks pretty interesting, love the art style. Would you consider doing a guide / first steps video?
Potentially, there are a few written guides for that kind of thing in existence, but I might
Thanks for the video
Thank you for the efficient review.
Believe it or not, saw the early access version of this game a couple of years ago and thought it was interesting; then, funny enough I forgot its name and picked my brain cells for days trying to remember what it was called ... until I saw the title of your video, and it just clicked 😅👍
Great review! I agree with the you, it's such an expansive game for 15$, it has a lot of depth, despite it not being fleshed out in combat.
This guy is a monster. Instant sub.
Another good review. I have also bought the game, and I also found it a bit confusing what to do in the start.
super review
Actually hard mode for me would be Epic sandbox with sultan , that was hell and more if u want the city to survive
Hey Morty, I really like your work, watching this video, I saw that you mentioned the issue of the story being "ok", thinking about it, it would be good for you to make a video about the games you consider with the best story. Note: I would like to recommend a game, Yakuza Like a Dragon, I had a pre-concept with this game, I played with 0 expectations, however I was surprised, it is not the best game, the rpg system is not innovative, however, the game has an interesting story and manages to mix the narrative context well, with comedy and seriousness.
the chinese name for this game is "tribes and scimitars" an obvious node to mount and blade and where they got their inspiration from for this game
I just started playing it on my Galaxy S22 Ultra and its been running perfectly. Its utterly insane how big this game is and how my phone can run it perfectly.
Oh you're underestimate your phone with this gameplay.
I bought this a while ago but never touched it when the steam reviews said it had problems but I liked the look of the game.
After watching your review, I can't wait anymore and I'm gonna jump in as soon as possible!
Waiting for controller support before playing, I hope it won't take long. Great video!
Another awesome review! Keep it up! I know Mass Effect LE is soon. I just started it. Are you going to do a video after each one of the three? Also like my friend pointed out, remember it will only get better. Meaning 2 is better than 1 and so on regarding freedom, impact and choices. I know those matter allot to you. Thanks again. Cheers.
Yeah I'll likely break it up into videos for each game
Hurra här kommer den! Ops sorry hehe the swedish just leaps out when one gets exited =) Great review as alwyas have been waiting for this one so i can start it up! Good show Sir
just looked this game up, first time seeing your channel, and i have to ask: is that beginning intro tune from Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning? That shit hit my brain in such a nostalgic way, i haven't even THOUGHT about that game in like 10 years and i instantly recognized it (i think, pls confirm xD)
It was made for the channel (You DO NOT want to mess with music copyright as a content creator) mean to sound like Pillars of Eternity though
I grew up with Feudalism 2 (a flash game), been trying to find a game that is somewhat related to this. This game not only is kind of a same to this but also with Kenshi. Great game!!!!
You should try out the Mount and Blade games! I think Feudalism was very inspired by M&B. Sid Meier's Pirates (sortof like the grandfather of the genre tbh) and Battle Brothers are also really good
because it looks like Feudalism 2 is the reason I'm looking at buying it now. Did you play this game at all and enjoy it?
Replayed feudalism 2 the other day and man it's so incredibly easy going back to it haha :)
Found it for 3 dollars on the android store, its a blast to play on the go!
The game has incredible potential, it baffles me that it has almost zero mainstream recognition. I mean, yeah, it’s not mount&blade, but the game has zero mods on Nexus, and even Chinese ones on steam are years old at this point. Great review, although I would like to hear more about NG+ and how it changes the game on subsequent play through, given that you’ve completed the game at least five times to get 100%.
did you missed the different mage levels and skills trees to learn? side quest chain to unlock more heroes with legacy?. anyway I loved the game too. nice review.
Hope you’ll be doing some beginner’s tips for this game! I’m off to Steam to buy it!
Would a companion Ai system help with the late game combat ? maybe its possible to set it somewhat like in PoE:Deadfire ? Set up a frontline, ranged in the back, chase or guard stance etc ? i like the part of building up your crew and encoutering enemies and places while exploring in these games, so the combat for me looks decent enough but yeah late late game idk
Something that allowed you to direct the troops more effectively would go a long way
You truly are an influencer Mortismal, "cause you made me buy the game.
And it's good, it's good.
I hope this game gets more refined. Also looking for a game like this/Mount & blade where the map is random/procedurally generated
the chinese name for this game is "tribes and scimitars" an obvious node to mount and blade
They need to add a slowdown or pause when commanding units in combat, like mount n blade added. Combat is way to fast to be looking in menus
I'm not sure why but this game reminds me of Gordian Quest, totally different game, but something... Tan, it's tan colour, both games seem to love it. ^^
Love all your reviews man. I share an extremely similar taste in video games as you do. One question though, is there a reason or have you ever considered giving these game reviews a numerical or some sort of score? Would be cool to see what you rate as a 8, 9, 9.5, 10, etc.
Appreciate the review. Only $5 at the moment, but I have so little time these days...
Do you believe it's playable on smartphone? What you said and what we've seen about the combats in late game I have serious doubts this will run fluidly on a smartphone. If it's a mess in a PC screen, imagine a 6,5"smartphone.
Thanks for taking the time to complete the game and make a well-informed video. After watching it I can safely say the game isn't for me.
I doubt they will really fix the localization. I played this over a year ago in early access and most of the spelling/grammar mistakes still were in the launched version.
If you want another game for review, which I just played but I think fits your style, how about "Starcom:Nexus"?. Sure has problems, but I played it to the end, (circa 25 hours), and definitely falls into an RPG experience, (even if you are controlling a gun brick of doom by the end - felt sorry for some of the alien races, because I was just mining them).
What are some good talents to begin the game with?
Did Mortim forget the best gameplay feature? THE DATING MINI-GAME?
isometric anime like mount and blade with fantasy
im sold, especialy that there's a sale currently
You most likely would love "Sengoku Rance".
Seems like Mount & Blade with simpler combat but far deeper management, actual story, and new game +++.
Can you introduce top 5 best heroes in this game that player should invite to the party please!!
Helloooo siiirr How can I recruit the npc astrid people tell me that shes super strong but i cant seem to recruit any heroes that in tavern hall or exactly people governor that has a higher position in faction
2:44 Do you use Geforce Now for your recording? If so, how is it?
No I use shadowplay
That seems like a lot of game for 15 bucks. Also, love the art style, it looks like the same artist from Hades. Sad about the combat which is what interests me the most about it. Might give it a shot since it's so cheap
This game is now available on mobile devices
Have you done starsector?
WTH! How did you 100% this game? I’m 50 hours in and I’ve got 20% of the achieves. I better get cracking
Good review, for $15 I think it’s worth it. I’m pretty sure the game is league of legends inspired since one of the developers has a league of legends profile picture
If you are familiar with WoW and Diablo type of game, this should be quite easy to pick up. Well for me at least. The danger thing is that, time will pass very fast when you play this game :)
Did you enjoy playing this game? I'm thinking about getting it, but I couldn't tell from the review if you actually had fun, haha
This gives me Dynasty Warriors vibes
What about replayability value?
This sounds like Wuxia bannerlord.
Imagine the Naruto world in such a game style
I've not 100% a game in years lol
Just bought it today for only 5 bucks on sale
yo how did you get the fire hatchling? where can i get it??
Dungeon lvl 18 at Zagros Mountain
@@Khairil-05 Odds? have done it dozens of times, good place for wisdom crystals. never got this dragon, is it removed?
game is solid 6/10
Have you ever played Battle Brothers?
a bit, not enough to offer much of an opinion
i really want to like this game but i play it during launch and was pretty overwhelm by all the things it throw at me. a bit more context about this game it an chinese game with a fairly chinese fantasy story if you wonder why there is some pretty strange wording that's probably why, chinese is pretty hard to do a translation. the game at launch have a pretty strong reminiscence to really really MMO games specifically Asian MMO which is why late game it just become a number game. one of the hallmark of early asian MMO you just lost track of things on the screen.
looking at the game now looks like they fix up the UI by alot so i might give a try again. P.S. if you know chinese play it chinese.
The best part of chinese games is have super complex systems which aren't explained at all leading to you just fumbling around for 100 hours before you finally work out you've been playing the game wrong the whole time.
If you've played mount and blade before you will be familiar with the system since a lot of it is copied from that game (minus the combat)
Did someone else take over this channel ? I just watched the solasta review and a different voice
Different mic, but no still the same guy
The only problem with this game is lacked of information whatsoever.
I wish they add troop trees allows me to see what type of units of other factions/tribes or other monster or bandit have, I spent hours and a lot of Utars recruiting to see the troop tree. And what even worst, idk what is good or bad. There is no stats whatsoever. It only gave you, type of the unit, damage type, armor type and what skills unit has. That is all! so frustrating.
NEXT
because of lacked information, it is hard to discerning which town belongs who's. Idk which lord in the factions, unless I MEET THEM.
Even on internet, it is hard to find information for INGAME stuff as well.
Normally, if player can't find the specific item we can just google and got the answer. Instead NONE! I don't know where to find the specific items! For example, the plant that Sultan has to find to stop Nemishi tribe attacking, Bitter flowers to wake up drunkard, like what the heckkkkkk.
It is so confusing when you start the game. So confusing. Even you play M&B before it does confusing you a lot!
So for you first gameplay expect confusion and a lot of mistakes.
Don't start as Sultan even it is cool to able to command a lot of squads/units IT IS HARD.
This game is 7ca$ on steam now
I haven't watched this yet, but if you have played this Tale of Immortal might be something you could review as well.
it's -40% off right now o0
Sands of Salzaar was confusing to me when I played it.
Mobile version is just as great and only like $6. Good time killer for sure.
The localization makes it hard to get into.
Yeah the game drops the ball a bit when it comes to onboarding
Aw, I was very interested until I saw that the battles become mindless Zerg-rushes.
Is this games is offline
Yeah
Offline?
Yeah its a single player offline game
lol As soon as I heard Anime storyline I was out. I'm ok with Anime in Anime but not in a CRPG.
free comment.
tbh for me the game was way more fun than bannerlord
A game which has an enjoyable early game but after a while it's tedious and boring. It's always the same and I felt like it became a chore ! I didn't even 100% the game, I couldn't, I was so burned out of their system... so kudos to you for doing it.
Unlike Battle Brothers this one at least has a decent story.
@@taomahNEGEV The story is what kept me going for a while. But in the end, the repetitive gameplay burned me out. I'm not criticizing the story at all, it's just the "meh" gameplay which never gets exciting.
@@mesarthim640 I much prefer the turned-base combat of BB but without a meaning story campaign it also becomes way too repetitive.
@@taomahNEGEV The story of sands of salazar is good but it's not amazing to the point where you absolutely need to know what will happen.
@@mesarthim640 I stick to Solasta then.
Looks like the game was too ambitious for its britches.
