A few tips you may not know or at least I felt you didn't explain: One you can find heros by mousing over the towns if there is a hero that is still not aligned to any faction yet (or wild as the game calls it) their name will appear there in yellow; and anyone that is in a town and is part of a faction will be white and show as defender. People shown as defenders will only appear in the hall. Also early game it is beneficial to go to Fleur in the Umbra Cliffs because they sell gifts there and most of the time gifting to a hero will let you recruit them right away. Second any unit recruited from a village elder will come in its full unit size, other traders don't really follow this rule though. and Lastly The more people that are part of your group being a hero or a unit will divide the xp you earn per fight. So if you have 2 heroes including your character and 3 units when you when a fight worth 100 xp you will only get 20 xp for everyone 100/5=20, but anyone at max level won't be add in the division(so if you have 5 people but 3 are at max level it'll be 100/2=50 instead). So early game having to many people can slow your game. Other than that this was a good guide and I learned some useful tips thanks for the video.
No wonder i leveled up so past when i played knight's errant with no other hero recruitment hahah started realizing i could recruit when i was already lvl 20
You can check where heroes are in the Quest. There’s a button that will show their location really helpful when they aren’t in the city. If it shows somewhere in the map it means they are traveling.
