Like, not once during my several hours in Far Cry 5 did I stop and consider how the fuck I could possibly be stealthy with an entire bear following me around.

@Sweener are you going to ignore guerilla paths, a crafting system that actually matters, a weapon progression system that makes sense and isnt overpowered directly at the start, an actually voiced character that speaks as much as jason brody, a just-cause-like military enforcement system (that dynamically changes with your actions), a gear system that functions as a skill tree, and more? i didnt even bother with 5 and new dawn so this is from my fc3/4 perspective. this game is fucking solid and you edgelords will never cease to amaze me
also like, who cares if it copies some aspects from other games? It's a far cry game. they share mechanics. 4 was a direct copy paste of 3 just with a different setting + story and so much more polish. and i loved it

dude yeah its so wack they made it a rock paper scissors system with armored and unarmored targets and soft body rounds and armor piercing rounds but thats not how it works but its how the game works in order for you to have to equip different guns with different ammunition irl a hollow point round will actually fragment inside the body and do extra damage compared to an AP round but I mean an AP round is still getting shot with a bullet these games exist in an absolute nonsense land
the bit about the judge and the dashcam made me break down into hysterics and I can barely tell why. it was so good I love this and can't wait for them to play far cry 7
To be fair, Ubisoft really just finessed themselves by thinking they could get away with charging a monthly subscription for their games, when they’ve based their entire recent business model off of re-releasing the same games with minor expansions over and over again with 8-12 hours of actual content that keeps you binge playing for one month before you get burnt out, and 30+ hours of repetitive, unenjoyable chaff that makes you not want to go back after. Honestly, Ubisoft is lucky that video game rental services have fallen out of fashion. Otherwise they’d be bleeding money from people just renting their games for the 2-4 weeks it takes to get tired of them, and then returning them.
When I saw the leaks and I saw how low jerma was comparatively and knowing how much he’s spent to entertain us with his huge projects actually made me like jerma even more
