- Hello peachies🍑 Symmetry is a norm for aesthetics, but is it is a sign of beauty when it comes to people's faces? People often think that one side of their profile is more attractive than the other, so imagine if our faces could be perfectly symmetrical with two good sides. Facial symmetry is not an absolute rule in aesthetic. In fact, you can probably think of many celebrities you fancy who don't have symmetrical faces at all.
Asymmetries in the facial structure is normal and can be beautiful. Almost everybody has asymmetric features. However, If uneven facial features are bothering you, take comfort in the fact that our brains don’t detect most asymmetries, and you’re probably only zeroing in on yours because you stare at yourself in the mirror every day. But if it’s really nagging you, we have a few tips here that can be a transformative way to achieve better balance.
In this video, we have compiled some really useful tips that can help make your face to look more proportional.

i really like that last message “don’t shy away from looking at yourself because the more comfortable you get w seeing how you truly look, the more you will accept everything you see”
That was such a high note to end a beauty video on. Props to peachie ❤️
This is so true because I was so not used to my side profile in mirror and thought it was "ugly" but then I looked at it so often that now I love my side profile the most haha
@@hakalaka2183 hajahah thats so cute :) And I agree, getting comfortable with the way you look is the best way to feel beautiful
that's the biggest true ever, i started taking more pictures of myself since i dyed my hair red (about 2/3 months ago) and i kinda got used to my face? idk, it sounds lowkey weird but it's true
before i started taking pics more frequently id look to the few ones i took and think i was awful and feel confused cause my image was kinda different from the one in the mirror, but once i started taking the pics and not deleting them i got used to seeing my face and now i see the few old pics i didnt delete and think i wasn't even that bad, i just wasn't used to seeing myself
Such a beautiful quote.
you have NO idea of how much i needed this video 😭 facial asymmetry is one of my biggest insecurities, it has been since i discovered it when i was around 12 years old. now the simple hair trick helped me A LOT because im bad at makeup and cant wear earrings. thank you so much!! 😭
Same I have uneven lips when I smile it is dragged to the left side of my face when I see the pictures it seems like I am intentionally doing it but I am not. No one has ever told me that my lips are uneven until one of my relative mentioned it some months ago and from that I am so insecure about that and I try to avoid taking pictures 🙃
Same. But I discovered mine lately. Through TikTok actually. That inverted camera. 😭 My eyes, face and lips are uneven.😭 I've been thinking that what I see on the mirror is my actual face in eyes of other people, but I'm wrong. 😭 Now, the way I see myself have changed. I only looked good on the mirror, but not actually in real life. 😭 This reality hits me hard. It even worsen my insecurities. 😭😭
How do you make the ratios of the hair? I'm not familiarized with that terms xd
@@kimcarlobaltazar3839 Camera lenses are actually lying because they distort the real image.
@@Alex_Is_Not_Here just a side part but close to the centre not too deep and close to the ears

This is literally the most underrated yet the best channel ✨
yess it's so helpful ㅠㅠ

The best tip is to turn off the "mirror" settings on your phone when taking pictures. That way the pics would be how people actually see ur face. This helped me a lot to realize and accept my facial asymmetry.
Thanks for this. Been minding doing this so that I can slowly accept my facial asymmetry.
i used to do this too! sadly some recent phones come with some built-in default filter that i can't turn off. if it doesn't flip my face, it enlarges my eyes forcefully. sometimes it does both, and i can't just switch it off! i wish they made it optional :'(
I turned it off and goddamn i just realised im uglier that i thought😭
That's what I did and I like my mirrored face more now.
@@vasper6598 i bet you’re not ugly. We are just constantly expecting us to look like the version of our face which is in our head. We may look different from that image but definitely not ugly🤝
EXTRA TIP get used to tilting your head a little! It makes it a lot harder for the eye to realize asymmetries bc the lines are no longer vertical or horizontal plus it subconsciously makes you seem nicer and more approachable. Match that with an asymmetrical hairstyle showing more of your good side and boom there you go 😝 as you can see that’s what I’m doing on my profile picture ahhaha
🔥🔥🔥
It works 👍❤️
You are gorgeous.
Titling my head to the side which is asymmetric?
@@nilanjanasutradhar You can tilt it to the side you don't like much. Keeping the better side upwards
For the past year i noticed how asymmetrical my face is and i've been feeling insecure about it most of the time. Thank you for this video! I've been subscribed to your channel for a while now and your tips are amazing. 💖
Same
same because of the damned inverted filter on tiktok.
sameeee
To those who have asymmetrical faces but you feel something isn't right about your body, I recommend that you see a doctor. My face suddenly became asymmetrical than usual asymmetry of my face and I felt a very bad headache all the time. My cheeks were swollen on the right side of my face and my eyestrain were endless. I also have an unusual feeling on my right ear. AT first, I thought it was just a normal migraine but no, there is something wrong with the temporal lobe in the brain. I went to a doctor and I was diagnosed with a temporal tendonitis. The doctor recommended to take physical therapy and see a professional that would help me correct specially my neck. I think I got sick because I was facing my computer all day because of busy online school schedule.
Whatt this is really sad sis😿 are you okay now?? I hope you get well soon
THE THING IS THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY FACE AND MY RIGHT BREAST SIZE IS GETTING BIGGER EVERYDAY LIKE IK WE HAVE DIFFERENT BREAST SIZES SOME HAS EQUAL SOME HAS UNEQUAL BUT MY LEFT ONE IS ACTUALLY VERY SMALL LIKE VERY SMALL😭 AS COMPARED TO THE RIGHT SIDE ONE I FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR THAT IF I WEAR SOMETHING LIKE BODYCONE DRESS IT LOOKS EXTREMELY WIERD🥲
@@nilanjanasutradhar if this change is sudden or rather quick, a visit to the doctor wouldn't hurt. I hope it doesn't discomfort (as in hurt) you physically right now!
I’m obsessed with the asymmetry in my face. I needed this so bad. The end message was so sweet
This video made me realize how asymmetrical every one really is 😳 even if it's slight. It makes me a bit more secure in the fact that perhaps I'm being too critical about my own face and hyper-analyzing it😅
I'm 15 years old and have been suffering insecurities for my appearance (it's been over 2 years) and dear peachy has been a huge help to make me feel good about my self by telling me hairstyles for my face, makeup tips and so on. I still am insecure, but definitely less than previous. Thanks so much!!!! (Btw always take notes from ur videos)
hi fellow stay! you are beautiful, but believing that is not that easy i am hoping for your self esteem journey.
@@hibiscae thank u sm
Their beauty tips are life changing i love this channel
This genuinely is the only yt channel I have my notifications turned on for and have watched EVERY single video. Keep the work up xxx
im really bothered by face asymmetry bc my left side looks better face-to-face but from 45 degrees i prefer my right side T_T im a hijabi so i cant do the hair and earring trick but i think i can change it a bit and apply the theory to my shawl! im really thankful for the makeup tip and the last message!
Omg did i manifest this or what!!?? 😍😍
This topic (asymmetrical face) actually made me too much overthinking and made me not confident to take some selfies. But when i found this video last time, i felt sooooo happy because now i have the solution.
even solar from MAMAMOO has this asymmetric face yet she still looks gorgeously stunning!
As someone who’s gone from Asian watermelon bangs to half part/side part to air bangs, this puts into so much perspective why I liked how I saw myself in side part hair 😯
Definitely going to take notes for these ❤️ Thank you all so much for all the helpful tips ☺️✨
i didn't even know you could do that. the inverted filter trend on tiktok has demolished my self confidence, and i really needed this video
Seriously you just need to look at your 'true reflection' more often. The reason it is so jarring and looks so asymmetrical is because you never see it, in reality it isn't that different. I have been looking at my 'true reflection' everyday for a few months and now it looks the same as my mirrored reflection.
Lol meanwhile I have that filter saved and look at it whenever I do my makeup so I can be sure I’ll look good to the outside world not just in mirror. But tbh, we only hate the inverted filter cause we’re not used to it, it isn’t truly ugly. I’ve looked at my inverted image for so long that it doesn’t shock me any more. At first I hated it, but now I prefer it to the mirror. Getting used to it will help ❤️
Dear peachie is the only channel who really teaches me effective make up. You're the reason why I learned to do make up that enhances my features, you're amazing! Thank you so much, you're such a blessing to many of us.
Can you do a video about how to even eyes? My uneven eyes are really noticeable especially in photos. Thank you in advance☺️❤️
The asymmetry in my face is quite obvious, because I have a birthmark on my left cheek! I've come to terms with it sometime after my late teens, but I think it never hurts to be aware of these tips! So thank you so much for the video! I showed my hairstylist the photos of Han So Hee with bangs in the video, hehe, and had my hair cut accordingly! Now I feel happy seeing myself in the mirror with bangs!
Did you have to style your hair often?
@@iloveyoo.sangah1910 Yup! I straighten my bangs everyday, but it takes about 5 minutes only! As you get used to the routine, it becomes much simpler and easier to do!
My preferred angle is actually my "bigger" cheek/jaw! Although it's wider & longer, the facial features are better angled and the skin is less discolored (my left side looks angrier & more shadowy). Deciding where and how to push it in was really tricky, so I'm really helped by all those wavy goddess hairstyle and S-bangs when they get popular enough to warrant tutorials.
SAMEE omg have u tried the tips for enhancing the smaller side on your bigger side??
Same.. do you prefer parting your hair on your "bigger" side or the opposite considering your preference for it? I am so confused
this was a much needed video thank you sm i’ve been feeling insecure about my asymmetry and didn’t know what to do and how to feel and these were great tips i’d love to try them
That last part is so true. I used to be horribly insecure and if I ever took a photo of myself that I didn’t like I would delete it, so I mostly only saw pictures of myself at good angles, usually with lots of makeup on. I started forcing myself to hold onto the ones where I looked bad. Not all of them, but a lot of them. Not only did this help me get used to what I saw, but it motivated me to take better care of myself and style myself better so I could improve my actual looks, not just looks in photos.
I do want to add that phone cameras distort the way you look to a degree, so if you see a really bad picture of yourself that doesn’t match what you see in the mirror or in other photos, that’s probably not what you really look like. A more accurate portrayal of what you look like in person would be pictures taken on a high quality photography camera.
omg i have uneven jaw with bangs and this just made me learn a lot THANK YOU
IM WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO IN MY ENTIRE LIFEEE ❤️❤️❤️❤️ all your videos is very helpful and no one will ever talk about thissss ilyyyy 💕💕💕💕💕
I love this vid as a tool so much❤️ My facial asymmetry makes it look like I’m smirking all the time, and as a kid, it made me self-conscious. Now though, I kind of love my asymmetry-it makes me look like me
This made me feel much better about my asymmetrical face 🥺🥺❤️
Something I learn in art class - everyone has asymmetry in their face it's just harder/easier to see on some
you're a hero 😭
This channel is so helpful! im so glad i found it . the best youtube recommendation i've gotten so far
It’s not about symmetry but balance and ideal proportion
Thank you so much for this video. It gives me inspiration to love myself more for who I really am
Great video, I’m going to try the makeup hack first!! saving this to re-watch it again when I’ll need it
This channel deserves an award
This is the most aesthetic channel in UA-cam ❤️✨🥰
I've been watching like 20 videos of this chanell because it makes me learn things for realistic drawings, thanks!!
Omg i never regret it when i start to suscribe this channel. Thank youuuuu🥰
I just learned a technique from a random comment in yt short earlier on how to smile if you're asymmetrical. I immediately tried it and it worked. I don't look awkwardly ugly and asymmetrical (in back camera). I searched for this video cus I need to enhance my confidence abt my face. My asymmetry is actually caused by my scoliosis, cruel right? But anyways thank you for this. We are all beautiful, symmetrical or not! 🧡
i have the exact same issue because of my scoliosis!! would you be able to tell me the technique you used? :)
Bruh same I had scoliosis too I had my surgery done 6 months ago
@@sophyshort5405 omg sorry for late response, i just saw your reply. anw, the technique is when you smile, the other side of your face that looks more flat should smile higher since the flat side of your face has the smaller amount of muscles, it makes your smile uneven (not straight). and then, on other side of your face that is chubbier, you should lessen your smile in that part cus if you smile widely, it will surely look uneven. in conclusion, the flat side should smile higher then the chubbier side should lessen the smile. it might be tiring and sometimes you'll feel numb when you force the muscles in your face to smile evenly, but it's worth it. practice it so that next time, you'll not feel awkward when you smile. i hope you get what i said jsksjsksj it's pretty confusing. that's all!
@@Sai_Bruh wow good for you!! i haven't done surgery yet since the price is pretty expensive and i have to finish this school year first before i undergo a surgery. im so happy for you:) how long is the recovery period anyway?
@@wonucantseewithouthisglasses Yeah It was indeed expensive but I’m still a kid(13) so my parents did it….
I was in the hospital for 12 days but I can’t really explain how it felt cuz( I forgot most of it lol)Okay I got it. So I felt like there was some weight on my back and it was hard for me to get up and stuff and to top it all off there was a drain and a catheter attached to me(bruhhh). Okay so to the actual point of how long the recovery time was it was around 2 - 3 months for me. Also I’m sorry for making you read all of this lol I’m just kinda sleepy rn(It’s night in my place) so I’m sorta just spitting random words. The answer is 2 - 3 months. Have a great day or night ig. Dang you must be having a stroke reading all of this.
I love everything about this channel
This is exactly what I needed but how do I figure out which parts of my face is assemmetrical?
There is an inverted face filter on Tiktok and Instagram, if you use that filter you will notice if there is a significant difference between your left and right side of your face.
@@takada5743 I tried that trend and I cried lmao thank goodness this vid is here
I think you can just look and stare your face in the mirror or measure everything on your face (left and right)
@@takada5743 ok I'll do that thanks
Invert a selfie with no makeup on. Make sure it's straight on and not at an angle
Definitely one of the best channels ever!
This was needed because I look like a completely different person in the mirror and in sefies(the better way) than by how I actually look like. Thanks for the reality check :)
i needed this so badly thank you so much!
mine was way more bigger and upward. i noticed it when i was even 8 years old. since then i hated taking pictures because my face doesnt look the same as others. i am glad that in this, generation, people is open about facial asymmetry. thank you for making this video.
I always learn so much from your videos. Thank you!
I need Han sohee’s hairstylist or at least hair routine 😩
i love your channel and how lovely yet informative your videos are! can you do a video on uneven eyes?
i have never clicked this fast
Me too 👀
Even though I'm 30 minutes late 💀
I love you peachie. Thank you so much🍪❤️❤️
Thanks so much for this video!!
This superrrr helpful! Thank you for making this!
THIS CHANNEL REALLY HELPS MEEEE
It was such a nice and informative video, as a person with facial asymmetry I'm definitely going to try out these tips and tricks 😄 . Thank you
omg this was such an unexpected but necessary video
All I can say is you’re god sent 👏🏻
the fact that made me insecure was that, i recently discovered that the face what i sees in the mirror isn't the face that are actually seen by the people around me. and i have an asymmetrical nose
I got bit by a dog when I was younger (wrong place, wrong time)... my lip on the smaller side of my face is more uplifted now. My eyebrow on that side has always been uplifted, so it enhanced my asymmetry. Was also blessed with a crooked nose, so all around wasn't having the best time... this video helped me find a hair part that helped my face instead of making it worse, thank you! This channel has tips for everything, and is extremely underrated. Helped me with my biggest insecurity.
Hello! I love your videos so much and they've helped me A LOT 💕 I was wondering if you can make a video on how to find if I have a cool or a warm skin tone!

Thanks the earrings one was very helpful 💕

Tysm for this video! My lower jaw didn't grow symmetrically as it's supposed to and im still scared to undergo surgery. Im gonna try the hair tip tomorrow, pretty sure it'll help!
i just found this channel and was sad my asymmetrical face doesn't fit korean bangs but thankfully i watched the video until the end. i will try the trick!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 💗💗
Eyyyy side part gang gang where you at 😎🙌🏽🥳 I didn't know the long wave in the hair over the face was called S bangs. Side part with s bangs is my favorite go to hair style. It can be casual and sexy any time. I love it ❤
I love this 💜
This was so helpful thank you
It is pretty, let's just accept and love yourself
i think why many of us think our asymmetry is ‘ugly’ is because we look at others on social media who have perfect symmetry and get used to them, and never look at ourselves (i have a lot of aymmetry)
dear peachie, can u please make a video about long torso/short torso and long/short legs and how to identify which one you have ♡ thank u!!!
Thank you so much once again for helping us understand so many useful things about our looks !
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!

I beg you actually I really need it !
I really appreciate the makeup tutorial, and the fact that the lady in question ACTUALLY had asymmetrical face!
I wish I could do the hair thing but i look best with a full fringe, so my hair kinda NEEDS to be split down the centre for that lol
yeah your bangs should probably be centered depending on the type but the rest of the hair can still be off center
The hair tips helps a lot Thankss

I read that you should cover the “sad”/smaller part of your face with hair, because otherwise shadow will make your bigger side stand out more and bring attention to the unevenness
Love you💗
THANK YOIUIUUUUUUU
Thank you for making this video! It is really helpful. 🍑
I've been overly conscious of my asymetrical face shape to the point that I'm thinking of having facial reconstruction (I have low pain tolerance so it's just a passing thought).
I will start changing up my contouring method and hair style. 🤍
Omg thank you, I really needed this😭😭
facial asymmetry is my biggest insecurity since suffering a minor stroke when I was a teenager. even though my face is now back to being functional it very clearly droops on one side.
