How to get the Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship in Europe?

- Doctoral program graduates can use the Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship given for postdoctoral research in countries on the European Union. Three key insights into proposal writing for Marie curie fellowship are given. These apply to other fellowships as well such as Humboldt, Fulbright, JSPS etc. The countries in the European union where this postdoctoral fellowship can be used are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. Postdoctoral studies need you to have the PhD or doctorate degree.

It is a complex process. You have to develop a proposal with a host and then apply.

You can apply for it but once you get it you will have to join the location to do the research

@@marwatawfik3956 Yea you can apply. I was wondering if you were somewhere else and thinking of doing a remote work which is possible in some tech industry postdocs. But I think you will then have to switch your current postdoc to the Marie curie as that is a full time position to the best of my knowledge

Thank you so much sir for explaining these 3 points so nicely. I did attend a webinar for MSCA post doc application but they did not explain like you. I have developed a novel therapy for a psychiatric disorder for which there is no medicine as the neurobiology is not clear. I plan to do a fmri study and see how my therapy changes the structure/function of the brain and see how a digital health intervention can be developed. I am now looking for a professor/host institution with whom I can collaborate and develop a robust proposal. Suppose I have convinced a host professor and host laboratory in France, how would I apply? Would it be a individual application or application from the host laboratory or professor?
You have to apply in conjunction with the host university. The process is quite complicated as with any EU process.

@user-py5ps9ec1b If you try for Central Europe then you will need your know a basic level of English to do research. In some cases you can get funding like from Humboldt foundation to study German in some depth. So you can try these options. Meanwhile try to improve your English as it is the lingua franca of global research and education. These videos may help you

@@user-py5ps9ec1b For humboldt you have to find a host professor in Germany. Then you have to apply to the Humboldt foundation. Your university has to give you approval for the visit if you plan to come back and work there. You also need to write a research proposal and get 2-3 reference letters. It is a complex process. Can I apply directly after completing my PhD, without any post doc experience?
Yes you can apply if you have finished the PhD or even if you are likely to get the degree very soon. Also you should not have over 8 years done after the PhD to apply.

But sir in eligibility criteria it's saying maximum of 8 years experience is required.
