  • Why Indians are leaving Sweden 🇸🇪
    Indians leaving sweden
    Indians leaving India
    Goodbye Sweden!
There are a few reasons why some Indians have been leaving Sweden in recent years. The decision to move away is often influenced by a combination of personal, professional, and social factors. Some of the key reasons include:
    1. **Job Market and Opportunities**: While Sweden offers a strong job market in certain industries (such as IT and technology), competition for jobs can be intense, particularly in sectors outside of these fields. If individuals face difficulty finding stable or better job opportunities, they may decide to relocate elsewhere.
    2. **High Taxes and Cost of Living**: Sweden is known for its high taxes, which can be a deterrent for some people, particularly if they don’t feel that the public services and benefits they receive match the level of taxation. Additionally, the cost of living, especially in cities like Stockholm, can be quite high. Some Indians may find more affordable options or better tax structures in other countries.
    3. **Limited Career Growth**: For professionals in highly specialized or niche fields, there might be limited opportunities for career advancement within Sweden, leading them to seek better prospects in other countries with larger markets or more dynamic industries.
    4. **Cultural Adjustment and Social Integration**: Adapting to Swedish culture can sometimes be challenging, especially for people from more socially active and close-knit communities like in India. Some may struggle with social isolation or feel that it’s hard to integrate into Swedish society due to language barriers or cultural differences. This can drive people to move back to India or to countries where they feel more at home.
    5. **Immigration Policy**: Sweden has strict immigration laws, and changes in work permits, residency, or family reunification policies can make it harder for some Indians to stay in the country long-term. If visa issues arise or if renewing permits becomes challenging, some may leave Sweden for other nations with more flexible immigration policies.
    6. **Weather and Climate**: The harsh Scandinavian climate, especially the long, dark winters, can be difficult for some people to handle, especially if they are used to warmer or sunnier climates like in India. The weather can have an impact on mental well-being, prompting some individuals to leave.
    7. **Better Opportunities Elsewhere**: Some Indians leave Sweden because they find better opportunities in other countries, especially in places like the U.S., Canada, or even back in India, where the economy is growing and new opportunities are emerging in fields like technology, startups, and business.
    8. **Family Ties**: Family responsibilities or a desire to be closer to extended family is often a major reason for people returning to India after living abroad for several years.
Each person's decision to leave Sweden is influenced by a combination of these factors, and it often varies from individual to individual based on personal circumstances.

It is not just Indians. Sweden is very unattractive for skilled migrants. And you get to see Indians making such videos because Indians are largest skilled migant groups. Even in your country Germany, Indians earn more than Ze Germans.

Very informative, thanks. It's the same here in the UK: they're making it difficult for people to migrate here for work and to get residency is a laborious process and expensive. There's a lot of anti Muslim sentiment as Muslims are perceived as not fitting into British society. The truth is that post World War 2 the days of labour shortages in Europe are over and they want less and less immigration and rely on their own citizens for the future.

    • @SnehaKaSafar
      @SnehaKaSafar  18 днів тому +1

Mostly agree with the labor shortage part but Europe in general has an aging population & high skill labor shortage for their innovative industries on the other hand countries like India have a very young educated eager workforce readily available but not enough jobs. So there is still scope for synergy due to complimentary situations but unfortunately populist can always find a way to rally against it

@SnehaKaSafar your last point is valid: Brexit was all about keeping migrants out. This has now been replaced by culture wars. However, businesses need good qualified people for their success but they're up against populists who want dictatorships. Keep your chin up!

I think people need to do research in advance before moving any country. Any successful person in his/her profession should think hundred times that why he need to move in any specific country. What are the advantages and disadvantages especially with Health, Security, Saving and off course language which is one of the basic reason many people leaving so many European country as they don't want to learn English at all.
