Vivi, you absolutely did the right thing by getting a new refrigerator and freezer. We had some hold ups when we were selling my dad's house that it wasn't worth not taking care of it if it meant blowing the sale. You wouldn't want to start the process all over again. You made the right choice. Plus, you need to be able to keep your food in the meantime. Personally, I think your viewers would pay $15.50 for your lovely lavender bags. You could do a poll on your community page, possibly. Anyway, I know you'll sell out either way.
Your house is looking beautiful! The red Christmas candles look magical against the green/grey walls. Thank you for lighting them for filming this vlog, and treating us to this lovely sight 🕯
I take heart from you, Vivi, as things in my townhouse need replacing or repairing. It frustrates me that I get so overwhelmed. You are one courageous, astute woman.
AI eliminates humanity. It negates the gift, the value, of human art, writing, vision, understanding, creativity. the unique quality, individuality of human thought and personality smashed into uniform soulless script! It steals inspiration and labels it its own! Very scary!
@@carolwhite6979 and in the middle of Vivi’s video there was an advert by a “doctor” telling how to reverse diabetes. Something odd in the inflection made me look closely. It was entirely AI!
Oh Vivi bad luck having to replace your freezer. You are like me I always have something on the go like my knitting or mending which I do when I sit down to do something that doesn’t need my hands. As a lady with a arthritic knee and a knee replacement I moved to a ground floor apartment which has allowed me to remain independent as I can get things in and out without be reliant on others to take things up and down stairs. It really gets me down when I have to rely on others because I have always been independent.
So wish I could purchase one of your lavender bags but I live in Canada so doubt that is possible. Loved your take on, and agree with, your perspective on AI.
@@WhatVivididnext That's fabulous! I looked on your online shop but didn't see them available there? Assume that is because they aren't quite ready yet? 😊
I hope the new white goods are installed smoothly, and the old ones removed. Re AI, it's not quite the same thing but since my hearing has started to deteriorate (along with everything else, it seems 😉) I often use sub-titles when watching tv/UA-cam (although I find some (including your channel) speak clearly enough to hear properly). Some of the sub-titles take a bit of working out, and some downright hilarious, and I often wonder how they are done - is someone sitting there typing in what they think is being said? Unlikely, I suppose, but by having the sound on and the sub-titles showing I can usually work out what's going on (background music allowing). Happy New Year Vivi.
Automatic closed captioning turned a garden educator’s discussion of peonies in the yard to “penises” and how to “cultivate” them as they’re really beautiful and can last 100 years. 😂😂
I still have my lavender bag that I purchased from you, can't remember when, but it still smells lovely. 🎉 I will definitely get another one! So beautiful!
How annoying! I guess we’ve all been there! One Christmas the oven wouldn’t work so lunch was very delayed whilst a neighbour was found who’d cook the turkey etc for us, many years ago! But somehow such events seem worse when on one’s own now , so well done for managing ! You are very resourceful ! Not feeling too well with a slight virus this year I enjoyed 2 soft boiled eggs and soldiers?? for lunch ..very weird! Praying all will be well for you in the new year and fridge n freezer arrive as expected!
You might have avoided a worse disaster Vivi, imagine the new lady moving in and the freezer burning out in her first week! She would go straight to the lawyers I reckon. Fingers crossed you get a date very soon, or else it’s time to reconsider.
Shame about the freezer, nice lavender bags,my husband is still in hospital for his hip pain because he fell, the nurses have given him pain patches which helps.
Oh, dear! If that happened here I’d immediately empty the freezer into a cold corner of the house and throw every available blanket over the stack as insulation. Sorry for your loss of almost a week’s meals. There’s a word for the feeling of sunshine in winter: apricity
I feel your pain... my TV blew up on Christmas Eve. I ordered a new one from Argos and it is being delivered today. I agree with you re AI... it is soulless. Sending you my love xxxxx

I was considering purchasing a second freezer but now am wondering if a pressure canner would be better? By that, I mean preserving food in jars to put in a cupboard instead of using electricity to power another freezer. Currently doing some research into the concept!
Hello Viv ! Happy Holidays to you and may the New Year bring all your dreams come true ❤. I have to tell you I worry about the candles in the background, if they fall over or discolor your wall you would be devastated. 😢 Just a watching out for you !
I remember that annoying paperclip thing 😩. I too wouldn’t want AI translating my words into languages I cannot understand, this could be used for awful things and we wouldn’t know 😦. I’m so glad you got through your own produce before your freezer packed up, but how frustrating. There always seems to be an extra cost with a move that no matter how you try will always pop up somewhere. Your buyer is so lucky that you’ve sorted this, presumably they’ve got a better deal as they didn’t have a fridge in the kitchen at point of sale. We were told a few days before we were due to complete that appliances would be now be left, we initially thought oh wow bonus, as we’d budgeted for buying new appliances. When we got the keys and checked the appliances we soon realised we were not so lucky. Everything was beyond filthy and the washing machine was broken. So cost us to get rid of them, then in removing them we discovered the kitchen units were totally degraded, everything just fell apart!!!!! We didn’t have enough money to buy a new kitchen as we were older first time buyers and used all savings for the tiny deposit we managed to get together. We lived without a kitchen for some time, (that was hard!) then used our appliance budget to put on a deposit for a kitchen and did it on a payment plan. Looking forward to your lavender bags going live 💜 x
Hello Vivi, Happy New Year to you! Love your natters, humour and expressions e.g 'bananas'! Re the freezer.......what timing! Fingers crossed that your lack of complicated chain gets your move done swiftly. 🤞 Met a guy outside his house as I was going to the allotment yesterday. I asked whether they had taken the house off the market as the sign had disappeared, but he said it had just blowing down and they hadn't bothered to put it back up as all the conveyancing was going through though they didn't expect to move until the end of Febuary or even March... Apparently their chain is really long and complicated so it's going to take about 4 or 5 months! 🙄
Lesbian chocolate. Nice to have a silly giggle and those kind of jokes remind me of the level of my humour still sometimes. If you've ever read the close captioning while watching a video, it's quite often so different than what is actually being said. Accuracy is not UA-cams agenda. It's profit, sad to say.
Dr Kat from “Reading the Past” channel just did a video where she tested whether generative AI could script or write content like she does. Very interesting results. There is no way dubbing Al or even if it was a real actor could duplicate your essence or syntax. ✨

The AI translates when the spoken language is English it’s pretty good actually. And the words that they were not able to translate will write them in the other vocabulary. So when we -who read the translation in other language- see a wird that don’t make sense we know the program was not able to translate. And we just benefit from the whole context of the sentences not necessarily needing the translation to be a word by word, .
