This is honestly something I was weirdly imagining when it came to this script I’m writing and I had this song in my head when thinking of the tone of it but wasn’t thinking about Coldplay’s song Paradise but it fits so perfectly that it got me to plan more of it out!! You have no idea how inspired I feel with this mashup!!

This mashup is weirdly interesting, I would have liked to hear a little bit of instrumentation melody incorporated from the paradise song but still like
My decision to add elements of the vocal song's instrumental into the mashup is very case by case. I do it when I feel like it will enhance the mashup or complement the other instrumental in an interesting way. In this case, the Paradise instrumental hums the melody of the vocals, which is already featured in the mashup. We already get to hear the melody of Paradise (through the vocals) with Lindsey's song, so featuring the instrumental wouldn't add anything here. Plus, I am excited for Lindsey's new song and wanted Lindsey's song to fully shine as the instrumental.
@QuentinMashups I definitely understand and stuff oddly works by just using Lindsays instrumental violin song and at the same time very cool cuz it feels like something coming from a movie/imagination

There's something in music called "dynamics" which is when some parts of a song are louder or more intense than others, and that's what makes the song interesting. It gives the song the highs and lows that it needs. That is a natural part of music, and it is a natural and intentional aspect of Lindsey's song. The mashup simply is staying true to the dynamics of Lindsey's song. As far as the timing, Lindsey's song has a different time signature, or "slant" to the beat in the verses. The vocals are on beat and on tempo, but the different time signature in the verses makes it sound odd if you're not used to it. :)
This sounds like the trailer of an epic adventure movie and I'm kinda sad it's not :( but it sounds amazing!
