This one means a lot to me,Jack was born the same month my great-grandmother was and I made my cry knowing we have lost another. She passed away a week ago, she was on the homefront manufacturing equipment during WW2. We are losing this generation, and I fear mine will be the last to have grown up in a truly free America.

Thank you for getting interview and hearing Jack's story. Many don't hear or read past history which makes me lead to the conclusion why many take this country for granted and be self-absorbed. This country is not perfect but still the greatest country to live in. Jack, thank you and all the men and women who served this country. 🇺🇸

Fair winds and following seas, shipmate. Thank you and all of the unsung heroes; the patrol squadrons, the auxiliary ships, the support and admin units, and many more than I can list. Without them, the front line units, the capitol ships, etc. could not do their jobs!! Thank you BRCC for continuing to be a platform for these stories to come to light. To all, stay safe and healthy & Check 6! - Cold War US Navy Vet

Shall all of us, including the generations to come, never forget the reality of the world we live in and the dedication and sacrifice that must be made to keep this country the best in the world. To all those who choose to serve and those who serve honorably by action, I know myself and mine will not forget. Thank you to Jack, his family and may he rest in peace after the service and the life he gave after. Its not just the service. It's the life you live after.

It's like with that interview God said; Mr. Holder, your mission is complete.
I had a chance many years ago to meet and shake the hand of Ensign Gay (mention by Jack in this interview) at an airshow at Midway Airport in Chicago. I have his book signed by him.
There needs to be an emoji of someone saluting for videos like this.

Fair winds and following seas, Jack. Your generation will always be known as those who came up from nothing during the depression, and went on to liberate millions all over the world. You then asked nothing more than to come home and raise your families and build a career. You started more businesses, founded more companies, were made of nails, and all seemed to have lived to be 90+. Your dedication to your country, your family, sense of and dedication to your community are your legacy. They are what I cherish the most and try to use as an example of what to do and how to live my own life. I will continue to tell your stories until my dying day. It’s the least I can do for what you did for us.

The B24 was one of the few aircraft of WWII that was well designed, well armed, and well named "The Liberator".
It is also the most forgotten aircraft of WWII.
It should be up there with the Spitfire, Lancaster, P51 and B17 as one of the most effective WWII aircraft, not just for its capability but for the heroism of its crews.
The "forgotten war " in Italy proved beyond doubt that this aircraft and its crews were "the best".
Jack Holder makes "Jack Reacher" look like a girl scout.
Although from a different time, service and rank I salute you.
    Thank you.
