- Andrew embarks on a two-day 160 km solo journey through the Costa Rican jungle upon an $80 '94 Trek Singletrack 930 that he found on Facebook Marketplace. Will he survive the ride from San Jose to Envision Festival? Or will he face utter doom in the jungle? Grab a bevvie and turn down the lights - this is gonna be a wild ride. 🤙

Captain here: The "stars" you saw are most likely newly launched Starlink satelittes. They launch in clusters and later perform inclination changes to get to their individual target orbits. SpaceX are planing on launching something like 40 000 of them if I'm not mistaken and this can actually have massive effect on astronomy. *launches away*

What a trip
I experienced something similar to this called the Rainbow Gathering. You can find Facebook pages for it. It's basically a camp of just hippies in the woods. Really wholesome and loving. The unity and love you feel there is truly quite impressive. I've never felt anythi g quite like it and i know people who go there for years. I know some who even have their weddings there because they feel more loved there than at home with their families. The world is a magical place, it's just up to us to create places and events where we get to be who we want to be.

I just saw this video, I had no idea of that festival here in Costa Rica hahaha, and for future cycling trips here, the water is drinkable and clean, you can order in restaurants or houses and people can give you for free. But I hope you enjoyed the piece of land where I live. And if I had known this trip before helping you with tires and other things. Pura Vida (sorry for my english, is a mess haha)

I believe that might be the International Space Station with its satellites passing by. But don't pin me down on this because I'm not sure

Please visit Toronto and ride some of our Don Valley trails. We don't have much in terms of elevation here but we still have excellent handmade singletrack 10 minutes from the downtown core. Please check out Climbmax, Roller Flowster, Party Atmosphere, Dr. Quads, The Ridge and others. All easily found on Trailforks.

Awesome, what an adventure! The first time I went to CR, I stayed in Uvita. Next time try Guanacaste area, I saw TONS of mountain bikers rolling around those hills.
