Recent reports by Firstpost and WION media. India airlines advertised to hire 600 staff but 25,000 show up to apply.
Another private company advertised 10 vacancies, 1,600 unemployed young men showed up for the application and created a stampede and injured many.
India should look into their own problems instead of worrying about China.

Dude you are taking it the wrong way. India has no impact on chinese growth at all. India is looking at China to evaluate policy for its own growth story, what would work here and what wouldn't.

Yes. That is what happens when they cannot grow and improve on themselves so they need to deflect attention of their failures by diverting attention to others. Best example for this tactic is to look at the US, UK and the west and now India is following them as well. India catching up China is a very long term dream. 😂

China, despite all the "slow down", is still growing at 4% every year and at this rate grows the size of India every 4th year.
While the perception of India globally has seen a positive bump it still has a long way to go alleviate poverty (800 million receiving 5kg rice every month), millions of youth roaming aimlessly on the streets, 75% women sitting idle at home doing nothing), take care of its more than 4000 tribal groups living in extreme poverty and take care of many domestic economy.

China is an authoritarian society which sacrifices political freedoms and human rights, in exchange for extra growth. Now your growth is lower than India, let that sink in.
The whole argument over how China's 4% growth means 800B which is so much higher than India's 400B, is more optics than substance. If China's growth keeps falling, India might be 50-60% of Chinese GDP in the next 20 years.
Unlike China, India is not communist and thus it is not a natural enemy of the west. It is already predicted by IMF that by 2050 India will grow in GDP upto comparable size to US. So yes, even by current growth rate India is doing fine.
If China was smart, it would have given up on border claims and made peace. And then partnered with India to take advantage of another huge growing market. Instead it treats India like some poor African country. If you don't smarten up till 2030, those profits will be passed on to Japan and Germany.

      @@anime0965 You have no idea.
IF China were growing at 1 % it would still be growing more than India in absolute terms. That does not show any preference or bias. Those are just facts.
India has nothing to loose by trading with China, a lot of countries trade with each in all sorts of manners and in commodities with some or other contradictions and pestering issues.
It's not that India does not want to trade, it's just that there is nothing to trade with; meanwhile Indian consumers must pay more for shoddy products.
AND NO INDIA has been more socialist and communists, for longer times than China. Perhaps you are unaware India has FIVE YEAR PLANS before China and longer than China.
And No democracy does not work in a country with 1 and half billion people. There is absolutely no precedent for such a project in history, neither is India setting one beyond on paper.

@@tylert9875 Why are you getting so defensive man? xd Keep your mind open and look at all sides.
      China's growth at 1% of approx 19T= 190B
      India's growth at 8% of approx 4T= ~300B
So in absolute terms India is growing more!
You think there is nothing to trade with a 4T economy? Really? Do you even know basic economics? In fact, since India is a developing economy China can have comparative advantage (compared to Germany and Japan here). And that market will double by 2030. Its you who is loosing out on more profits.
India is far more closer to "social democracy" of Japan or Germany than "communism" or hardcore "socialist". US and the west hardly have a problem with a country like this. We do not have a purely one party communist state without direct elections.
You can see 1B+ people successfully running with a democratic India. Good enough to have a growth rate better than a country which sacrifices human rights for economic growth.
India is WAY better than what is reported in media. It was only in late 2010s when the media showed the real image of China and not just cheap quality goods or poor sweatshops. India's real image will be spread in early 2030s. In fact, in 2030 India's GDP will be 7T+ USD. Which was China's GDP in 2013.
(India can even grow over 7T+, because of rapidly increasing infrastructure. India will have atleast 30,000 km expressways, 3-4 deep-sea ports, 6,000 km of Dedicated high-speed freight rail, and atleast a 500km bullet train line.)

      Glad you can do math.
2 years of 1% growth equal to 1 year of 8% is still not a bad performance. Assuming China is not underestimating it's growth and India not overstating it's own growth.
India can grow to 7 trillion economy, 4-5 x it's current size. Assuming GDP is still any relevant estimate of any meaningful progress in human development index, it's like chasing your own tail, and counting it too, without any prospect of a biscuit at the end.
GDP growth is meaningless when 800 million people have must rely on government to feed themselves and more than 300 million accounts with no banking transactions in last 1 year (RBI), or more than 4000 companies that have left Indian in last 10 years.
Its unrealistic to think India can compete with China in any meaningful metric. It's idiotic, let's, India should, focus on boosting farmer's incomes, generate more industrial jobs, and create servicing opportunities in those industrial sectors, do the basics.
It's better to stay grounded and not believe in fairtales of high growth and 7T. If basics are taken care of, there is no need to worry about GDP and such metafigures.
India needs a LEADET that can put it on the right path now in order to reap the benefits in the future, the best case scenario. Everything else is a pipe dream.

Economy of China will keep growing but at a slow pace, 5% per year. The reason is China doesn't want to pour money to the market to stimulate its economy although it has the largest foreign currency researve and the largest trade surplus in the world. The reason behind this is, if China does, the money will finally end up in the US due to its current higher interest rate. So until the US lowers its interest rate, China economy will deliberately stay growing slow and wait, no matter how hard the world barking at it.
